Now we are abusing our top goal scorer ffs... Danny hasn't shown any signs of being unfit or knackered so don't see the prob.... Playing for slough is PART TIME so unless he contract says differently what he does on a Sunday is his call

I must have it wrong then-maybe they are not paying much, because normally that not playing sundays would be in your contract, and what if a player got injured badly on a sunday, he would be of no use to Slough.But I guess this is just another issue, the main problem in my book is attitude and comittement or are we just not good enough ?

At this level no one can be expected to devote their whole life to the club, as previously said if this was just to get match fitness during our off-season then it's something that should be applauded. IMHO

What about the players who are also PE teachers who will be playing sports most of the day everyday.

Don't think anyone is or was abusing Danny Burnell, just raising an observation, the abuse came from the other direction!

 

I agree no player at this level will devote their whole life to the club... Danny is training for a marathon for a very good cause, if he is tired I'm not surprised, training for a marathon involves a lot of mileage per week put on the body and if you do not rest you will be tired, and at first you won't even notice it, its muscle fatigue!!!
