Chelmsford Away

Not sure of the state of Chelmsford pitch, but looking at the local weather forecast it doesn't seem as bad as first speculated,if anything the snow may not arrive until some time tomorrow evening, although a few light flurries could occur from anytime now onwards.

We haven't had any rain since Friday night so maybe their pitch has recovered as far as that's concerned and any showers now between now and kick off shouldn't be too heavy so I wouldn't be surprised if the game goes ahead.

After Saturdays cracking performance and our last couple of games we have obviously played ok,confidence should be high and Chelmo have a few injuries I am led to believe so maybe they would rather it be called off.

Think we should all get up there and support the lads.

I can take the 8 seater up to Chelmsford if anyone wants to book a place

Let me know on here or 07531088777 same deal as the coach

Just seen that its snowing in billericay so I would assume Chelmsford will be getting some.

I doubt with their current injuries that they will be too keen to get the game on,or maybe I am being cynical.

If it is off,I can then go to Hornchurch library for the 8pm meeting about the proposed Visitor centre and development of Hornchurch Country Park

The ground was sodden Saturday so hardly going to be rock hard today, think the only problem will be any persistent now, doubt the pitch being hard will have anything to do with it.

Saying all that, didn't chelmsford put a plea out to fans a couple of months ago to clear the pitch and no one turned up,if they have injuries then they are hardly going to break their backs to get the game on,not many clubs would I suppose in thir position, unless they feel that because we played Saturday they will be fresher thn us

South ends supposed to be worse anyway.

Just seen pictures on the soapbox, their forum and it don't look too clever in all honesty, pretty much resigned myself to going to my meeting tonight, although some reports are that it won't snow again till 11pm once this band goes through but the reporters don't seem to know exactly when and where the snow will fall lol

Seems quite a few of their fans and players want the game to go ahead and want the pitch cleared if there's a chance of playing but apparently in situations like this the club don't like to do anything as it could damage the pitch, really????
