A GOOD DAY OUT AT WORCESTER PARK.

On Reaching an age of 65,life is mainly downhill for most older people. But being an ardent CCL Fan,I needed my weekly fix of Footie. So where would one go,for a Gauranteed Game amongst Friendly Football Folk. Now being the proud owner of one of them Freedom passes, that our past and present generous Governments, kindly bestowed on us Elderly Folk, distance was no object. But not being a person, who would want to take the Michael,I weighed up my options, slightly swayed by Chris Clapham saying on this very site, that he would be attending Worcester Park v Sheerwater. On arriving at the ground was met with a Warm,Kindly welcome, from the Gateman,we had met 2 weeks previous when South Kilburn were the visitors.Had a nice cup of Coffee and a sandwich pre match,no sign of CC though, which was a bit disconcerting,as the Bar had been open ages, had he beem waylaid was my first thought.Still never mind, the pitch was in excellent condition, after all the previous days rain,a credit to Worcester Park FC.So a quick chat with Loop and Foxy10 besides the dugouts ensued, the score when I left them was 2-2 in an evenly balanced game.A Glance in the Clubhouse direction saw CC,Bulmers in hand, chattiNg to a RPV Stalwart,my kind of people,so without a second thought I joined them, for a chat about all things CCL,AND MY FIRST DRINK OF THE DAY.From that moment onwards it was all downhill for yours truly and Sheerwater final score 7-2 Worcester Park.Still not to be downhearted we drowned our sorrows as you do,after the game, where we were joined by Dalts 35,great company indeed. To my suprise a gentleman who I got talking to,None other than Neil Murrell(Murrells Musings Fame),WAS RIGHT about a late incident in the game involving the Worcester Park keeper, where we both agreed could of been a straight red card. But we both agreed also that in the spirit that the game had been played, that the EXCELLENT REFEREE,YOU READING THIS MR COLLINS.MR SMITH WAS HIS NAME,never seen him officiate before, but an excellent game he had. Thanks to Gary Knowlden(hat trick hero)Dave Perry Manager, for making me feel so welcome at your Club, the pleasure was all mine.

I always enjoy my visits to WPCC.

Sheers started the better side and led twice before playing uphill in the second half proved too much for them.

My next game there is 13th April v Epsom Athletic.

I don't do 0-0 draws!!!
