Smudge
As everyone knows the Ball of choice in the CCL is Mitre,is this the same for all Leagues.Having bought many programmes over the past few years,I have noticed that they all have an Advert for Mitre Footballs included,so I presume that they are Sponsors of the League.Do they supply these Match Balls/Training Balls to all 40 CCL Clubs,Free of Charge,or at a very reduced rate?Do new balls have to be purchased every season,if so what happens to the used balls. Terrence Collina
Mitre Max to be precise retail between £30.00 & £40.00 depending on where you go. The club has to buy them at a reduced rate (I think) and I also think they get the crap training balls that last 5 minutes thrown in. The Zamaretto League uses Mitre Samsone which I think are SMU's for that league. Last I knew, the Ryman League uses Chryso which if you catch them right ping nicely. Hellenic League uses Uhlsport, not sure which one exactly, but based on their ball from two seasons ago retail around the £25-£30 mark The Wessex league & Spartan League use Molten balls and they are horrible, just like the old Mitre Multiplex or the Minerva Classic (that the CCL used in 1998), a fecking cannon ball! The Reading League uses Mitre League's - approx £22 and have to be used by clubs in the Senior Division

Smudge
The Club HAS to buy them, is that every season. If they are well looked after, they must last longer than 1 season surely, although with the shooting ability of some CCL Players, many get lost no doubt.840 footballs purchased must give the purchaser, great buying power though,or does it? Anyone know the cost to Clubs?

I know that in the evo stik they had to replace all the balls so that the new ones had "evo-stik" printed in them and yes the cost was down to the club
Mark-Tommo
I thought the clubs had to buy a certain amount of new match balls every year as per league rules?
Smudge
So what do the Clubs get in return bar the balls, for supporting Mitre,800 x £20 =£16,000 ,whose sponsoring who.
The Mayor Of Simpleton
Good point indeed Smudge. The Conference Leagues use FILA balls instead, and are nowhere near as good imo.

I may stand corrected in that last post...I think the clubs get given x amount of match balls with the league fee, and then purchase any further Balls required. Smudge
Why does every League use a different ball?
ellers
Blue square south use Fila balls and they are like a cheap ball you at the garage. Mitre are still my favourite.

Terrence Collina
not sure how many the club has to buy, but when I was at Frimley we had 6 left over at the end of the season so I took them to where I used to work and swapped them for training equipment and a giant tactics board.
