Well put Sparksy,very diplomatically put,they were crap as usual then.Is there a retirement age for Officials?Some it seems,are still treading the boards in their 70's.Whilst the younger ones are lucky to get 2 games a month,but everyone tells me there is a shortage of Officials,good ones yes.

The ref at Windsor last night missed a stonewall penalty to Windsor..he was only standing 5 yards away and the lino who was standing right in front of me never saw it either..then 5 minutes later Windsor were awarded a penalty which was never a penalty in a million years..clearly a foul on the Flackwell defender. After a chat with the lino..the same one that missed the first penalty..the ref changed his mind and gave a free kick to Flackwell. The right decision in the end but that 5 minute spell was just the start of it.

A classic the other evening,a ball played down the line,was adjudged by the Referee to have gone out of play,who was standing in the middle of the pitch,but his Lino who had a direct view never put his flag aloft.4 minutes later the Ref points for a Goal Kick,but the lino flags for a foul,so he overules himself,and gives a free kick.It gets better ball kicked goalwards hits players outstretched hand in Penalty area,play on says Ref,he had no chance to get it out of the way,2 minutes later a similar scenario in midfield,a free kick given,and player booked for disputing the decision.

Yes it was a cracking game and one I couldn't see us losing at any stage until that last minute winner!

 

Bit of a hoof it high team Flackwell Hearh but in their big forward (sorry cant remember his name) they had a skilful brute who dominated in the air and was calm and inventive on the floor.

 

We just lack a proper centre forward at the moment but played some excellent football at times.

 

Jason Sheeran was our MOTM in midfield, hardly put a foot wrong.

We used to have a regular assistant at Meadowbank who must have been pushing seventy.

 

Always reminded me greatly of Mr Burns from The Simpsons. Haven't seen him for a couple of seasons now.

 

Having said that, he was a lovely bloke !!
