Brightside Bloke
Billericay got back to winning ways after beating Farnborough 2-1 at New Lodge in the league tonight. Watched spenders reaction as his hoofing side lost and after having to put up with his less than complementary interviews over the last few weeks it was a pleasure (for me at least) to see him look as if he's swallowed a lemon on the final whistle. All the squad played out of their socks to secure a much needed win. Well done lad's COYB
richards
Amazed at the lack of postings consider we WON. Probably due to the dire crowd number of only 229. Many thanks to you die hards, BOO to you fair weather supporters watching the Manx get beaten. It was in fact a really good game, end to end stuff by both teams. Great to see Rob Swaine back to his best, he was a rock in defence and playing Omar Beccles just in front of the back 4 seemed to work. Great to see Sam given a chance again and he took it with his winning goal. But for me the man of the match was Junior Luke, tremendous energy, a few really good runs and those long throws conrinue to cause problems for defences. Another performance like that this Saturday may just see us start to creep out of the relegation zone and up to safety. COYB
Rick the Dick
Both sides really wanted a win and that made for an entertaining end to end encounter. Great effort from the Blues although a two goal cushion would have been better for my blood pressure! Agree with comments about Junior. Moved up a place and go into Saturday with some momentum building.
Bill of Shenfield
Good game to watch, their manager is an idiot. Some of his comments were ridiculous. For a team that plays the ball around they hoofed it up the pitch a lot. Any way thought we played well with a lot of commitment, the team was well balanced and as said before Juniors' throws were fantastic. He seems to have altered it slightly and is more dangerous. Well done to all.
Gareth J
I actually don't especially care what the game was like, results are the game now. But having said that we played very well in the first half and did what we needed to do in the second. It was evident from every player's attitude that they are up for this challenge. Across the park guys were throwing their bodies on the line. Both full backs (who were exceptional all night) and Paul Semikula produced some great in the box tackles and blocks. I agree with Richard Junior was top drawer last night, but I'd like to make a special mention for Jay May. Thought his attitude and work-rate was first class last night. Not only a threat up front, but was tracking back, closing people down and even clearing the ball in the right back area. And a goal to boot. What more could you ask for? A really enjoyable result and one we deserved and needed. Obviously even more enjoyable due to the garbage that has been spouted by Farnborough over the last few weeks. Onwards and upwards. Same again Saturday guys - very much a 6-pointer!
extaffyjim
A huge win for us. There were a few nervy moments in the second half, but we kept them out and could have had another towards the end as they pushed forward. Hopefully we've put the curse of the late goal behind us now. Well done to all the players, but special mention goes to Omar and Junior for me. Up a place to 20th, 3 games in hand still on Staines and Hx, and a chance to climb out of the bottom 3 on Saturday, which is our biggest game of the season so far. Crowd was low, but not really surprising, thought it would be about 200. Same again Saturday please, and life will be looking a lot more rosy
Top Cat
Over the moon with three points, well done lads, a hard and often tense game, we had the better first half, but I was a bit worried in the second, however we really put pressure on whenever they had possession closed them down well, and could have had another on the break - their keeper managing to keep us out. Great result, more of the same this on Saturday. Happy to give over another bottle of wine…
Ryan.c
If you wanna lose some weight, come and watch Billericay! That was better than any work-out! Still laughing at the first goal. Mugged 'em off big time! Fantastic effort, fantastic result. Where was BBC Hampshire Surrey?
Umbrella Man
Was a top effort on Tuesday to get 3 points if the boys can continue in that fashion we'll be as safe as houses . More of the same this Saturday and we'll be on our way
