Smudge
Never a better opportunity than next Saturday, for the Guernsey inhabitants,to get off their backsides, and get down to Footes Lane, and support their National Team.In what for them is their biggest game so far,in their short history.Personally would like to see a Crowd of over 3000,cheering the Green Lions on.I LOVE GUERNSEY. HKP
I'd be happy with 2,500, which would be around 400 more than our record attendance.
bomaya
Good double bill with the egg-chasing. Have they thought about a special price for watching both games?
HKP
I don't think this would be possible as the gate receipts are shared. Hence the reason why season ticket holders will need to purchase tickets for all cup matches.
Smudge
Lets all get our Prayer Mats out and hope there is no rain. This late K.O.could mean your Mainland support, will be down in numbers, due to the logistics of travelling, lets hope extra time and Pens are not needed. sarniaMJ
I had previously agreed to attend a meal that night and I cannot get out of it without upsetting marital relations! I was absolutely gutted when I found out it was an evening kick-off I keep on thinking about the excitement and awesome atmosphere at the Guildford City game at home in the cup semi final last season. It sickens me to know I won't be there to cheers on the Lions.

Can you give her a call please Smudge and ask for me? As an influential and valued member of this forum I am sure that your intervention can only help to persuade her to change her mind! I'm thinking what illness will be best that day. Something not quite as severe as gastroenteritis and yet not as simplistic as a headache. Any suggestions? By the way Smudge what did you make of the game versus Walsall Wood? They were a really decent outfit to say that they are step 6. It pains me to say it but it seems that the wheels are coming off of our wagon! I don't know if it is fatigue and the injury list catching up with us or just a dip in form that every team experiences at some point in the season. Hopefully it is the former. It was really frustrating seeing us hoofing the ball and just hoping that Allen could get on the end of it. When we tried passing it about a bit then were so much better and more fluid so I couldn't understand why we then went back to the long ball. Thought Vancey got the tactics right,no way did he want to lose the game. And he finally took notice of yours truly, and set up for a draw, reason being it was the only way you could recoup any of your large financial outlay from the match.WELL DONE TONY.Will not be at the Lane for the Replay, but will meet you at Wembley for the Final. As for your problem regarding your dinner date, use a bit of charm, that never fails with my missus.pm me your number I will speak up on your behalf.GET DOWN THE LANE,YOUR TEAM NEEDS YOU. Comments near me from Guernsey fans suggested the midfield was playing too deep. There did seem to be a disconnect between them and the forwards and this led to the centre backs often hoofing it forward, From other recent reports it sounds like the long ball has been played a lot whereas when I saw them previously they kept it on the grass all game long. Maybe missing all the influential midfielders like Zico is counting now we near the end of the season. Apart from all that, Guernsey were having to deal with three pretty good attackers. The left winger Lewis something was causing Guernsey's right back trouble every time he got it. WW fans couldn't understand why this ploy seemed to stop after the first half. There was also a gangly blond lad who was good on the ball and the tiny Turkish forward Ahmet who had excellent feet and so nearly scored when his chip past Tardif was JUST cleared off the line. Also, as well as Tardif played (my MOM), the other keeper was also faultless. Literally as that was his name. Only time he was beaten was right at the death when Haume blazed over the open goal after Rihoy hit the bar.

Smudge
The publicity machine is now working to full capacity in Guernsey,a chance to get more big sponsors into the Dream. What is the record Crowd for a Non Final Fixture?1 suggestion get the names of all the people, who buy 6th Round Tickets, and give them priority, for Semi Final Tickets.LOYALTY SHOULD BE REWARDED.I see Fusion are giving away 100 free tickets, how about the Doghouse and GFCTV doing the same. No, never spoken to a CCL official other than lazarus on here. I'm not as extrovert as you Smudge. Maybe though you are a closet Guernsey Fan,as the last 2 CCL games you have attended in 2 months, have both been to watch them play.Trip out to Guernsey this week? South Park are my favourite CCL team but I do like Guernsey mainly for the colourful and vocal travelling support. Of course I also saw Epsom & Ewell at the previous game - do they not count? e]
