Eastside Urchin
If you play an illegible player in a cup match you lose the game, why is it different for a league match?
andydick
If you play an illegible player in a cup match you lose the game, why is it different for a league match? .. because in a cup game you don't lose the match, you are eliminated from the competition .. with your opponent replacing you. League breaches simply incur point(s) penalties up to the amount of points gained by fielding the ineligible player. 1 was the most Salisbury could have been deducted (barring exceptional circumstances), whereas Farnborough could have been deducted 8 but were deducted 4.
