Saturday 2nd March, Scores and Results!!

4-5-1

Recommended Posts

Entertaining game at Eversley.

Both sides knew that three points were massively important to their promotion hopes today. Impressed with our desire today and good to see the injured lads supporting the team.

Great call from the gaffer to bring on Liam Fisher, who scored the winner.

Another big game away to the in form Mole Valley next week!

VP Was'nt there, ask the Horley bench what time they had! Game finished at five past five.

No, I was too busy helping a mate move. On a Saturday! Why he couldn't have done it tomorrow I have no idea.

I got my info from Kroonerite. I was waiting for the ft score and it wouldn't come. I was cursing one or two people at the club for lack of communication as they know I always want at least ht and ft scores from games I'm not at.

Keeps our unbeaten run going though. Next game - Horley away on Tuesday. One of those fixture quirks as the game's been postponed twice already. I won't be at that one either due to work so if anyone from Camberley's reading this - tweet me, text me or phone me. Cheers!

Westfield 0-3 AFC Croydon

From our point of view we weren't good today- lacked spark all over the pitch but hats off to Croydon who were magnificent all afternoon and fully deserved their victory. Solid at the back - 2 good wingers and a dangerous strike pair. We had no answer and rarely tested their keeper.

MVSCR were good today, well grat half they were and effectively put the game to bed in the first half.

Their three forwards took their goals very well and were constant thorns in the side.

Second half was a much more even game and Spelthorne had the same chances as MVSCR in the first half but didn't take the chances! Otherwise 3-3 could have been the score. Or possibly 4-4 as MVSCR also hit the post.

Must say that the MVSCR bench/management are a bit of a joke.

The ref was moments away from abandoning the game as they were apparently abusing the linesman and kept pulling him backwards when he went past. The only reason he didn't is the backlog of fixtures, and he league wouldn't hae even happy with him. This slowed the game down and added nearly 10 minutes of injury time as the ref sent off two of their officials. One then proceeded to offer out a fan who was telling him to leave a he was ruining the game. Even the MVSCR players were gettin frustrated! It's a shame as the players were spot on today, just led by a bunch of 'and I'm sorry if this causes offence' idiots! Imagine how the players would have felt of the re did abandon it when they were 3-0 up!

I think MVSCR will get promoted, and I think Eversley and Frimley following today's results.

Interesting how bias your account of the events of today is and presumably you know all this from being on the pitch??

The linesman was at NO TIME touched or the allegation raised towards our bench, whom battled to stay within the very 'compact' technical area behind the bench side assistant!

As for a Spelly fan being 'offered out' in truth the loud mouth fan continually taunted our 65 year old Chairman who had his grand sons with him throughout the match until leaving before the end and despite the constant provocation our Chair managed to maintain a level of professionalism.

The same spectator went on to tell out manager after being dismissed to get out the ground and the bus from over the road goes to Mole Valley, (which is an area not a town btw!).

The manager asked him to show him where the bus stop was seeing he was clearly a very concerned sincere stand up member of the Spelthorne community...

(Or was HE actually the idiot who antogonised things worse in a very sly way!?).

Oh and btw you are seriously deluded if you think that match NLLK was ever in danger of being a 3.3 even with the 8 minutes 14 seconds 'injury time' you boys were well beaten today!

We can't comment on the dismissal of todays managers so as to not jeopardise any future hearings but once they are done and as we believe both fully mitigated we'll report on the actual factual events surrounding today not the fantasy...

The referee told one of our players after the game about nearly abandoning it.

You're right I was playing, so have only got the words of the subs, and our captain that came over to sort the situation out. But you can't deny that you slowed down and spoilt a very good game of football.

I also think you are looking through rosé tinted glasses. As your account makes it seem that your officials were impeccable throughout.

But on the game I honestly do think we could have drawn. How much you guys had taken your foot off the pedal I don't know second half, but we had 4 guilt edged chances or do you not see them as you were too busy trying to abuse the linesman and fans? Leading by example you were ;)

Also once you've got the my hook loose from your mouth please feel free to return it, as I might be casting out again soon haha

I was really suprised how much of a difference in quality both sides are and thought your side was better last time we played you, as you caused us more problems then.

If I'm honest I didn't think you looked like scoring. You had a cpl of half chances and if it wasn't for a stupid uneccessary tackle on your player to give a penalty away it would have been a very solid clean sheet.

Alternative view points COULD be they were trying to drum up some support for their unpredictable actions today or, maybe they were trying to get their stories straight before the left?.

Only they know I guess!?

However whatever the reason it'd be nice to see the match officials conducting themselves more professionally after the match than, discussing events from the game seemingly very openly!

To that end I'm especially shocked to hear the experienced Mr Robinson (match referee) who also holds a very senior position within the Ryman league (and would therefore know that discussing specific events is a real NO NO!) would partake in such discussion following the match. Especially seeing as no explanation was offered as to why the managers were removed from the ground!? Interesting though cheers...!!

Led as for your hook think i'll keep hold of it for now!

Must say I was disappointed with spelthorne today, been 4 months+ since last seen them in action, they didn't get into the game until it was to late. But this game was overshadowed by a disgraceful mole valley management set up. All you could hear threw out the game is them hurling abuse at the officials and trying to intimidate. This led to 2 of them sent off with the main colprit offering out a fan to come outside. I managed to speak to officials outside the clubhouse and they did confirm that one more attack on the linesman and the game would be abandoned. Disgrace to the league, but may I add not their players, they played a good solid game. So there's your neutral opinion

I knew it was just a matter of time before you piped up.

You went to see spelthone beat us (as you put in your other comment on this forum) and was dissapointed because we were better.

As for our management I think it was fair to say they was getting frustraghted with the poor quality of the officiating, at no time did anyone swear at the linesman.

The technical area was so small there that ment at times the linesman found himself standing inside it and actually bumped into one of the mangers as the two lines are so close together.

I've never seen that at any ground and I'm sure there must be requirements on the distances.

One Instident of poor oficialing springs to mind was when the spelthone number 11 kicked out at the back of our players leg when the ball had already gone out of play.

Now I'm not sure where you was standing but this took place right in front of the scaffold stand between the dugout where most people were standing.

The linesman on the touch line saw it but he said because it was just inside the other half of the pitch he couldn't signal the ref because he can only line his half.

Have you ever heard anything so ridiculas as I thought the officials are there to protect all players from both sides.

Oh and as for the spelly fan yu mention he was making abusive comments throughout the game, which I heard 1st hand so I'm not suprised he was upsetting people.

Neutral!? How's that when your earlier post stated "

I'm back in town and heading over to see the spelthorne boys hopefully beat mole valley.

Bet you been sorely missed whilst you been away!

As for officials, it sounds like they had lots to say after the game to everyone, shame those on receiving end of their decisions during match didn't get the same courtesy.

Tigger, If anyone makes an official and very false claim of an assistant being man handled by any of our bench today this won't end at a regional county disciplinary hearing those comments are libellous!.

Walsall Wood 0 Guernsey 0

I was glad to get away with a replay. Tardif had a stormer and GFC again suffering from half a dozen missing midfielders. Wood had some quick wide men.

Next Saturday should see a big crowd and hopefully too much for Walsall, but it's a close run thing. Their tiny Turkish lad looks good.

200 quid for a scoreless draw, Bugger.

yeah your right I did have preferences for spelthorne today as I followed them the season before, but after moving location for health reasons i have become abit of a ground hopper.

As for county court actions, behave yourself, your actions yesterday will all go in the match report, that's all you got a worry about.

When you get your ban and fine let us know on here. Good luck to your PLAYERS for the rest of the season
