Relegation from CCLP

Probably ambition NLN!! Also, have you visited Meadowbank recently?? I've only been there once and it was like I'd gone back in time!! Compare this to your excellent facilities for example. If Dorking go down this season (and I expect that they will) then I can see them going in the same direction as Banstead and Cobham both of whom have been relegated from the Prem in recent seasons.

A nibble at John?

FWIW, I hope Dorking stay up just to spite you dear.

oh well Ill comment!

Hackett and Harmsworth move to Dorking Wanderers.

Both decent guys and a loss to DFC

Hackett not been fit but one of DFCs best players. Good luck to you.

Can a club sign two players from another club at the same time?

Guess so.

Dorking Wanderers have done brilliantly to get to Sussex 1.

They have a larger player base, and back office set up.

But they have got to DFCs level and found it as hard as DFC find it.

I know both sets of people quite well, both doing good jobs under different circumstances.

Dorkings general recent footballing problem has been spreading itself too thin.

Traditional DFC, up and coming wanderers, and add Bookham groundsharing at gods greatest ground (!) has put too much pressure on player availability, sponsor income, gate and publicity.

We are very clever in Dorking so all the good players sod off to uni.

The rugby club is hugely successful and gets good young athletes.

We end up getting fit young lads from further away with little commitment because Dorking has a pub on each corner and Friday night is a good time to meet many Dorking footballers!!

When I played (briefly) for Malvern, the same could be said for them.

The rugby club there always got the punters in, and the football club suffered as a result.

By coincidence, both Dorking and Malvern's ground are among the most picturesque in non league football and I hope for Dorking's sake that they can have a bit of success over the next few years. I know (partly) of some of Dorking's problems (fossils running the place stuck in their way and caring more about themselves than the club) but there's always light at the end of the tunnel - even if it is an on coming train under Box Hill!

John and TSF deserve credit for the work they do for Dorking FC (see, a Gooner can be nice to a Spurs fan - even after THAT result!)

TSF,

Not to cause a rumpus but when I was at Leatherhead for the UKFF game, some people were openly talking about Dorking FC on the night.

So although I don't know EXACTLY what the problems are, I got the general gist of it. Plus I spoke with a Leatherhead official who has said that Dorking could be a good side but certain people are holding them back.

No worries, no offence and best wishes.

You really are a strange chap Adam, what the hell would you know about Dorking FC after a brief discussion one night in Leatherhead. Get your head out of Big Johns arse mate.

Until you visit a CCL ground or watch a CCL game (which you STILL havent done by the way!!!!!) then I suggest you withhold judgement as you know nothing about the teams in the 2 Divisions. Although for some bizarre reason you have taken on a bit of an obsession with Sheerwater this season.

By the way its all gone rather quiet on the UKFF project.....care to now admit that the negative comments made about this were correct, or do you want to spin us some more bullish*t about how successful it's going to be, lol.

Here we are folks, bang on schedule.... the Oracle.

About time you got your head out of Nigel's as well.

Obsession with Sheerwater? Lol, I speak with a few of their staff on here and I'm obsessed. God help me if I dare mention their results. I've spoken with people from Cobham, Warlingham and Farleigh as well, but of course you hadn't noticed that had you?

A bit rich from somebody who is clearly obsessed with me and my posts, but as with all WUM's and keyboard warriors I know what to expect from you. I like Guernsey FC too, so does that make me a Guernsey fan?

How do you know I've not ventured over to Combined Counties land from the shire? I might well have done, and even if I had why would I bother telling you? I hate to break it to you, poppet, but you're not important to me.

As for the UKFF, oh obsessed one, they're off on jollies to Greece in July, Maddy is coaching in the UK African Cup of Nations in June, one of their lads has signed for Chesterfield and they have signed a lad from Sporting Lisbon. Pretty much as you were, and they are looking at a new ground as well. Oh, and a former Fulham player is working with them - Andrejs Stolcers. So, for a supposedly crap outfit, they are making good strides and a few heads are casting jealous gazes.

Yeah, heart-breaking isn't it. Anyway, Mark Cooper, isn't it time you were off to bed as you've got to manage Swindon Town on Saturday ;)

Oh, and whilst you're online - care to answer my question from yesterday? About Staines Lammas and the ineligible player. Or are you going to only post when I do?

Chubby care to tell us who you support or your name even.You always knock the Mayor,but at least he has been involved with Football at a low level and has a passion for it,he also has a name Adam King,which can be verified.

Smudge, thank you.

I did not mean to upset anybody with the comment about Dorking, and I honestly wish them, TheSpursFan and John the best.

Adam,you will realise one day that there are many 2 faced posters on this Forum,who get pleasure out of Knocking decent people,but the ones who do,are nameless people.Frightened of their own shadow.Better stop posting now as it is 1.16am,and I would not want to be accused of speaking in drink.Look out tomorrow for Smudges views about the CCL,and its much needed overhaul.

Smudge for the third time on this forum my name is Mark Cooper, I'm not sure why I have to keep telling you this - my age, where I live, my family set-up, what I do for a living has all been given to you following your initial request for my identity! So change the record mate.

I don't belong to any CCL team I am merely just a supporter of local football and unlike our hobbit friend you will find me at a CCL game most weeks (midweek games are more difficult but I will try and go where possible).

Adam....superb post from you mate, usual garballed nonsense!! I'll leave you, Smudge and Big John from Dorking FC (.....who never appears to go to any Dorking games??) to continue your 3-way love affair.

to be fair i can see chubbys point about adam an watching ccl how can you have an opinion if you havent watched any mate by no means am i jumping on the bandwagon but surely just by reading this forum doesnt mean you know about the clubs an everything that goes with it you need to go watch for a season or two then i think people will respect your opinion rather than fobbing it off mate!! or commenting on a player just by stats go see for yourself :wub: ;)

If reports are accurate then it appears an easy to win case under FA rules viz:

(ii) during the current season any Club wishing to approach a Player known to be registered with or having played for any other Club must give to the secretary of each such Club, seven days’ formal written notice of the intention to approach the Player;

Formal written notice of approach need be given by:

(A) a Saturday Club only to all Saturday Clubs;

(iii) the written notice must be sent by special delivery or recorded post, or a written acknowledgment otherwise obtained from the secretary or chairman of the Club approached. Facsimile or e-mail transmission may be used provided a receipt of acknowledgment is also obtained;

(vi) if an approach is made by a Player to another Club during the current season that Club shall give the Club(s), for which the Player is known to be registered or has played, seven days’ notice of approach as set out in Rule C2(a)(i) to (v) above before registering the Player;

(vii) a Club which is the subject of a complaint alleging failure to give notice in accordance with this Rule may be subject to a charge of Misconduct pursuant to Rule E1(B);
