Fair play to Hartley who have certainly turned it around recently. Also to my lot as well because according to some on here we were doomed a while ago but have hit a decent run of form.

Be interesting to see how many actually do go down. If we take all the top 3 of Div 1 as able to go up and that isnt a given and we lose 2 to step 4 then only 1 will go down as it would appear none of the bottom sides at Step 4 will be coming our way.

Interesting theory bomaya, as you say Three Bridges could be the team to drop and Dorking Wanderers are clearly having issues with some of the Sussex League clubs based on the recent local paper reports I've seen, so a switch may make sense. I still think a lot of what happens next season could be affected if the Kent League take on more, which I thought they were meant to do as I was under the impression that they had to have 20 from next season? If they take a couple from the edge of Sussex, for example East Grinstead, Uckfield, Rye then it mean Sussex could take clubs from our league instead (Horley, Dorking, Guernsey if still in step 5).

Certainly your theory appears the only possible way we could lose more than one team at the bottom though, and fair play to Hartley too for picking up they points they have done recently. They could easily have given up on the season. I fear for Colliers Wood right now as all the others around them are picking up points. That said, they managed a bit of a great escape with a good run at the end of last season, so I'm sure there are still many twists and turns to come this year.

Given we have lost over half of our cup final side from last season, a side that would give ANY team a good close game in this league, we are not really surprised we are struggling this season. (I think our players have been superbly loyal). However, we continue to try to play good football and that wont change. If we were to go down then so be it. Our main priority is to stay afloat as a club and there will be some radical changes for next season. I cannot announce any of these as it would be inconsiderate to do so during a current season but, provided we can address our pitch issues, we are very hopeful of a bright future. I can say that we are committed to getting our under 18 side back together next season and I am confident of a significant sponsor coming on board for whatever league campaign(s) we are faced with in 2013/14.

Got to say I think its great that you still have players who have been loyal and happy to turn up and play for the club given the difficulties you have faced and even not knowing where your next home game is going to be. Wish CW all the best for the rest of the season (not tonight though ;) ) and do hope that some good fortune comes your way soon.

Just a question on the 2 clubs. Why have Dorking Wanderers progressed so much over the past 5 years whilst Dorking seem to be going the other way? Is it money?

A good question.
