v AFC Hayes

well we got the job at home a few weeks back and nullified their threat fairly well however we didn't kill the game off when we probably should have. we need to continue showing our battle and fighting qualities like we have the last few games and wrestle control of the match. most vital of all we will need to be clinical with the chances that come our way

Looks like a comfortable win against a team that we usually find difficult to beat.

I did n't go the game as Glen & Laura brought the baby home from hospital tonight !!!

Even with Royston winning 8-0 tonight we still have the joint best goal difference.

Guildford City are slowly dropping out of contention with their loss tonight as we are now only 1 point behind them with 8 games in hand !!

Well done boys - COYR.

Dominant first half from the team, including Burnell having a penalty saved. Second half Hayes came back into the game and created a few chances, but so did we and there could easily have been more goals in it. One downside is that Kyle Anthony went off injured in the second half, although Adam Logie came on for his 100th appearance so congrats to him.

The team is playing well at the moment, let's keep that up!

Yes, confident, comfortable and dominant tonight. The second half was played in second gear and I thought we made Hayes look out of their depth at times. Great to see. The team is in good form at the moment so perhaps playing two or three times a week will be beneficial to enable us to get a run going.

A comfortable win against a side who looked very poor defensively. Once again the midfield looked really strong and great to see ed score twice. Interesting 3 weeks ahead as we have 2 'double headers' coming up against daventry and Aylesbury with a cup semi final and a match against lowly fleet thrown in. By mid march we should have a much clearer idea about whether we can achieve promotion or not!!!

Really good team performance last night dominating the game from start to finish.

Only negatives are on the injury front.

Kyle Anthony has a hamstring problem and Alex Brown pulled up again in the pre-match warm up which leaves us with one fit central defender, Woozley.

Logie can slot in there but with his lack of matches it's not ideal.

Injuries are starting to rack up and could play a major part in our promotion push.

Congratulations to Adam Logie on his 100th appearance for Slough. If I had been manager it would have been his 200th appearance for Slough!

If Alex Brown and Kyle Anthony injuries are serious plus with Dave Deeney and Dominic Rhone also being sidelined, Adam may get a run in the team as a centre-half.As Reading Rebel said 'not ideal' considering he hasn't had any run of games for ages.

I also think he lacks confidence in that position now, which is strange given the number of games he played for Hayes and Yeading and Ashford as a centre half but it looks like we will have little option.

controlled the match from start to finish and was pleasantly surprised at quite how straight forward the win was. Hayes were absolutely terrible in the 1st half

as said 2nd half we coasted through really without really being threatened or under any sustained pressure

congrats to Adam Logie on 100 apps. fact he hasn't played much and center back isn't ideal for him I barely noticed him so he did an efficient job there. Anthony is a big blow if he is to be missing for a while that boy is class

also good to see Smith sticking away 2 of the types of chances he has been struggling with slightly recently. Smith and Burnell both past 20 for the season now which isn't something we seem to see often

Missed the last couple of games with the flu but what an excellent response from the side after the disapointment of the Chalfont match – a maximum 9 points in the league, 7 scored and none conceded. Throw a cup win into the mix, that’s brilliant form given we have lost key players during that period as well. The lads are on a roll and getting the job done – long may it continue.

Hopefully Super Kev can patch up some of our walking wounded. I’d still like us to bring in another centre half if the right man is available – now more than ever with Kyle and Brownie injured. Anyone know how much longer we have Adam Martin for?

Adam Martin is playing out of his skin at the mo, can't afford to lose him!

yeah not heard anything but it's usually when he hits form and full fitness that we end up losing him again. if he is staying it would be a ridiculously major boost to our promotion chances as last two games been incredible alongside Burgess. the fact we haven't desperately missed Brown and D. Deeney the last few games shows the depth of quality we have

With no disrespect to dave Deeney who has had an excellent season, Martin and burgess have been class the last 2 games and probably provided the 2 best central midfield performances of the season. If we can keep Adam Martin till the end of the season and keep burnell and smith fit and scoring I honestly believe we can still do it. Also, off topic, but am I right in thinking that arlesey won last night so we would play them in the final should we beat frome?
