Div One promotion hopefuls

Not forgetting there is still a sequence of results that could see MVSCR take the title from Frimley on goal difference. Unless my maths is wrong which is likely!

Massive 3 days for Div 1.

 

MVSCR against Eversley tomorrow to still decide who the other top 3 team will be then Frimley V Westfield play each other Tuesday for the title.

 

It's a very exciting end to what has been the strongest Div 1 ive seen in a long time.

It's all about opinions, and I know it's been competitive again, but how would this seasons top 3/4 (Frimley,Westfield,Eversley,Mole Valley) rank against the top 3 of the previous 2 seasons  - Guernsey, Bedfont Sports, Hartley Wintney, Worcester Park, Farnham, South Park?

Your not wrong Trevor - 4 wins for MVSCR, Westfield failing to beat WP and Frimley losing v Westfield with an overall goal swing of 13 goals will win MVSCR the title.

Westfield need to fail to win against WP,for MV to still have a chance of winning the title.

 

Personally I think the league has a greater number of competitive sides,than in recent seasons.

 

MV would be well placed to judge the standard as well. How does their side this season compare to the title winning team a few seasons ago?

Well I would have to say that Div 1 is much stronger this season than when we won it a few seasons back.

 

And the quality and strength of all the top sides would give most Prem sides a real run for their money.

I feel we are stronger than we was the year we won it but we are way off the top this season, as winning every game we have left would be a hard task for any side. 4 games in a week

Hi Dan, I tend to agree with you.

 

When we went up couple of seasons ago I do not feel that the division in general offered as many truly competative sides as the current Div 1 line-up.

FG, WF, SK, Spelly, Lammas  yourselves all spring to mind obviuosly as genuine top 3 contenders until literally the final hurdles. Additionally Warlingham and Worcester Park made great early impact although both tailed off.

 

How would we all fare against Bedfont and Hartley, to be honest I think we'd all give them a decent game,

Guernsey are clearly another proposition all together!?.

 

Anyway there is for us still 4 to play, so nothing is decided outside of Frimley & Westfield yet!

So into the last week and only 2 places in Division One confirmed, guess MV SCR will consider they hav the upper hand requiring 1point on goal difference or 2 to book their place back to the Premier at the 1st attempt, but anyone think their may be any last minute twists?
