I see Mole Valley v Eversley has been rescheduled for Saturday 4th May, in what is a massive final 8 days of the season for Eversley. Home to South Kilburn on 27th April, away to Westfield on Tues 30th and then away to MVSCR. Frimley's final game (as it stands) appears to be away to Sheerwater on Sat 27th April.

Still looks like it'll be the head to heads that will split the pack.

On paper there are massive run in's which (and remember you heard it here folks lol) I think could see Westfield & Frimley missing out on the top spot!

So now we have Westfield v Frimley Green on Tuesday 7th May. Why so late? Yes It could be a winner takes all title/promotion decider, but it could also be a meaningless game if everything is already settled which would be a shame. Would have preferred to have it sometime in April when it would definitely mean something to both sides.

I agree fully. Was hoping it would have been first available midweek which was April.

Twice its been postponed now when both sides were occupying the top 2 places and would have been a massive game for both sides.

 

Anyway If we were to go up this season it certainly would have been earned if you look at our run in !

I watched the Elite League Cup semi final last night Old Farnboronians 3-0 Tooting Bec as I know a couple of the Bec players.

Good game played in the right spirit.

Both benches were excellent.

OFFC would be a decent addition to the CCL but would need to strengthen up I feel.

Winners play Yateley Green or Coulsdon Town in the final. Venue TBA!

You're spot on there Chris. OFFC have some tidy players going forward and in midfield, especially Boukhobska and Coleman - I think they'd follow Spelthorne and Epsom Ath and prove there is some quality in the Elite. Horsley would hold their own too - haven't see Yateley Gn so can't comment. Coulsdon are the other side up there in the Elite but they're I'll disciplined - similar to their previous incarnation, Netherne.

Having been involved in this league for 7 games I think there is quite a difference in the standard between Elite and ccl div 1, we played Coulsdon two weeks ago and they are not ready to make the step, having seen Epsom and Spelthorne when they first went into to the CCL you can see why they got promoted, I've not seen OFFC yet as our game keeps getting postponed at there place, but I am told they are the best side in the league.

 

Biggest difference is commient attitude and fitness, if you can get settled side you will do well in the elite.

Jordan is a quality player and one we would have been happy to keep at Camberley and glad he is doing well :)

Definately have to agree with ellery's on this one! Surrey Elite is nowhere near as strong as CCL 1 and a lot of the sides would struggle! Was playing for Virginia Water for a few games during season to (try lol) and help the old manager out, not to be, and played against a full strength Yateley Green with a lot of youngsters and more than held our own for a gd 80 mins! They would struggle! Though obviously if there big plans to merge etc come off then they would be able to choose probably stronger team, aslong as they sort out there ground as there current place is a horrible ground IMO! Though Old Farnboronians definately seem to be the most likely to hold there own!!

Does anyone want to update their thoughts and predictions on this after recent results.

 

I think this is one of the best run ins for a while and there will still be plenty of twists to come in the vey near future.

 

My top three are

 

Frimley

MVSCR

Westfield.

 

All of whom can actually get promoted which I think is good for the leagues as a whole.

Congrats to both Frimley & Westfield on your promotion... Just 3rd spot for grabs, any thoughts who'll grab it?
