To be fair theres got to be something wrong though - you cant keep being the better side and not beating them over nine hundred games! I mean i thought you were much the better side in the vase game and that still some how finished up 1-1?

I agree but our scores against them have been 0 1 League (Home), 1 1 Vase (Away), 0 1 Vase Replay (Home), 1 1 League (Away) (Game abandoned) and 3 2 Challenge Cup (Away) so as you can see the scores have been close and 54 goals man Putman has only scored against us once and that was a pen in the abandoned game.

 

For me the only game we didnt deserve to win was the Vase replay

 

For me lastnight was one of our best performences of this season that i have seen so far.

Yeah i like that Grant Holt striker they got over there he looks like a useful bod at that level ... Maybe a move away from the green next year? Rumours from amersham sources there are teams looking at him? ...

 

And yeah massive well done to colney heath. St mags bench and random fan base put quite a big downer on a decent football side in my opinion so fair play to them

 

Was talking to my friend earlier who is a regular down at Holmer Green and he doesn't actually rate the big lad up front. He said the only sides interested in him would be Sunday league, bit harsh. He said he was born offside and only scores when the other team has gone 5 or 6 up and taken their foot off the gas.

No tht cant be true? i see holmer play hanwell then second half of jets and he was only offside 97 times but according to the shouts from green shirts it was the cheating officials and Grant Holt even claimed himself 1 of the lino's was "like a puppet and hes string just keeps getting pulled" whilst he was standing in the 6 yard box with the ball and the nearest defender was closer to the half way line ....

Still i think he could be a handy number 9 somewhere else. Do we know what sort of contract he has up there? They might be able to nick a pound from a side before he leaves on a bosman
