Red insure cup

Finished 2-1. I think a better all round performance than Tuesday, and I was particularly impressed with Martin, Logie and Fraser who came in and did very well. Smith's first goal was very well taken curled round the keeper, and the penalty, while a little soft, was well taken by Smith too. Burnell had to start but was replaced within the first couple of minutes by O'Toole who looked a lot better having a full game under his belt. Smith also hit the post.

Into the semi final and as I said the other day, we may as well give it our all and go for it. Northwood only really caused us problems in the last 5-10 minutes of each half. We defended quite well and Logie and Martin did very well in midfield. Sam Bateman even made an appearance on the right wing in place of Ashley Deeney and got stuck in.

Anyone able to give me a lift back from Frome?

On the subject of 100 appearances, we could and almost certainly will, have 3 players passing the milestone before the end of the season. Last night was woozleys 94th game, jackos 95th and logies 99th. Will just depend how many midweek games Warro is still unavailable for but the other 2 should definitely get there!!!

For those lightweights who sat on their sofa, including Hotspur (who goes to every game - other than when there is a wedding, - it can only be assumed that he is a vicar, as that is why he never turns up on a Saturday, and he also ties the knot on Tuesday evenings, and now due to extra demand he now fits in Thursday night ceremonies too), I will give you a summary of the game.

It was COLD!

Both teams were up for it and there was no taking the game for granted.

Tactical sub after 1 min for Danny.

As quoted above a good showing by all players, especially those needing match time and a chance to play with members of their new squard.

Sam Bateman as usual came on in the second half and caused problems with his determined sytle of play - should be on the bench for the first team more often and used as an impact player in the midfield.

Fortunately Eddie did not get the third goal and then the hangover from the ageing brandy.

Good win and now a chance for some silverwear.

Toes still blue but I am sure they will thaw out eventually!

Last night was a fairly decent display. I agree with ARAAS when he says that we played better than we did against BGU on Tuesday!

Now that we're in the Semi-Finals, I think we may as well go all out and try to win it, especially if the two-legged final takes place after the play-offs.

What are the dates for the two legged final?
