A great record of the day, gutted that it didn't go Ampthills way but still another excellent Vase campaign.
Rhodes
I'm just wondering how Ampthill Town would have handled a visit from Guernsey if they had beaten Hadleigh Town and the high flying Channel Islanders had travelled to leafy Ampthill Park in either the Sixth Round or, in particular, the Semi Final 1st or 2nd Leg as between 1500 and 2000 would have attended. In the report from yesterday's sixth Round tie at Step 6 minnows Walsall Wood, from another Forum, it emphasises that the preperation wasn't what it should have been and with a large number driving where would they have parked for example in and around Ampthill: FA Vase Quarter Final Walsall Wood 0-0 Guernsey (aet) Ground I know it's only a Step Six ground BUT it wasn't too great. Clearly they weren't used to and weren't expecting a large crowd as even though there seemed to be plenty of club people and stewards around, they didn't seem to be doing all the useful things like getting people through the gate (many were still queueing at 3pm), sorting the parking inside the ground (there were cars blocking one of the main walkways - any sort of incident would have caused chaos) and despite tannoy warnings about not taking alcohol outside the bar, many were (this included the club chairman and his wife who stood next to the pitch with glasses and bottles of lager). Also, nearly half the perimeter is currently a building site but it wasn't cordoned off so there were lots of people stood on mud and bits of rubbish. It was as if they'd forgotten there was a game on here today.

I reckon they would have asked your advice....the way you handled those attendances Tik Tok used to pull in you are obviously the master of crowd and parking control. Rhodes
I read in the Non League paper today that Walsall Wood players will need a passport for the replay which some don't have, is that true as that would have been another problem for Ampthill Town had they progressed to a two legged Semi Final or had to travel to Guernsey in the Sixth Round or for a replay like Walsall Wood

The passport laws are the same as in the UK - British and Irish citizens do not need a passport to move between the Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney. You will however need some form of photographic identification, e.g. a driver's license. If you are arriving in the island from outside the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland you must have a valid passport or travel document. European Union nationals may use their national identity cards.
No13
I think TW@T is looking for a bite from someone connected to Ampthill. Again the true facts are that it's all ifs and buts from TW@T, something that maybe could have happened but fact didn't. Shame he never pays a visit to the club to ask the questions he has himself....and fact is he probably never will
Rhodes
I think TW@T is looking for a bite from someone connected to Ampthill Not at all, I had no idea you needed a passport to visit the Channel Islands, I expect this is a major problem for some Clubs having to travel to Guernsey, particularly at short notice, resulting in key players having to be left behind. You don't need a fecking passport - if you bothered to READ what's posted (my post was 29 minutes prior to your latest)
