Ash 0 Cove 3 but don't read too much into that scoreline as it isn't a fair reflection on the game.

We scored early on with a well drilled training ground corner but after that Ash took control of the game. Against the run of the play we nicked another and almost poached a 3rd. At that point the majority of play had been in our half with Ash dominating the midfield, penning us back and throwing a lot at us. Through a combination of good luck and bad finishing we came in 2 up at the break, in what is undoubtedly one of our poorest 1st half performances although we did look dangerous on the break.

2nd half started badly for us having a man sent off for dissent. This allowed Ash to completely take control of possession as we went two solid banks of four. Ash threw forward everything they could and we defended far better with 10 than we had previously with 11 (although not to say Ash didn't have opportunities). With a rare venture forward in the dying minutes we wrapped the points up with another well taken corner.

Bit of a smash and grab but we're pleased with the spirit shown in the 2nd half and the clinical nature of our attacking play.

On todays showing no way will Ash be in a dog fight at the end of the season and I fully expect them to go on and take points against teams higher than them in the league.

Egham Town beat Spelthorne Sports 3-1 in a hastily arranged friendly that helped shake off some ring rust after another enforced two week break. Spelthorne played well and the game was contested in good spirit. We scored in the first half through ex-Sports man Jamie Read, they levelled and we scored again through Luke Craig and Louis Chandler-Joseph. Thanks to Sports for agreeing to the game and good luck to them for the rest of the season.

great result for sandhurst last night now i hope that all the people who come on here and slag us off are big enough to come and say well done,it is not easy running a club at this level and I think Salv is doing a great job, look at what he did last year he kept Sandhurst in this league and took them to a cup final with no budget at all, this season he knew it was gonna be tough again but unlike some others i could name he has got b0llix

An excellent evening for Sandhurst all round, seeing as they will undoubtedly prefer Cobham to Hanworth Villa in the QF of the Cup too!

thanks EE yer it wasw a good night even though i was in my sick bed Cobham will be tough opposition and they will obviously fancy thier chances,Salv tells me Shaun Latimer scored our 3 goals on his day he is extra special but he is a young lad and needs some time yet to develope but he is definitely one for the future, you've gone quiet Coops whats a matter has the cat got your tongue?

Dunc's, a great result for the team considering the display on Saturday, however it is just one result and against a team that are not firing as they had early season. As for Sean he played very well last night as a lone striker, but the plaudits have to go to the team as a whole. The introduction of Fish in goal and Perry at C/H allowed our midfield to engage a little more. Billy was superb again yesterday gave BL no time at all. Young Ryan had is most impressive game to date and Dan was back to his usual self.... Connor played a thankless task in front of the back 4 and although I know he felt as if he wasnt in the game the back four would say different.

We are still giving away needless goal, wasting dead ball situations and give the ball away to often, but these are things to work on.... Salv & I have no intreast in what money other teams are spending, what opinion they have of what is happening at Sandhurst its exactly that their opinion etc. we simply need to get our heads down, role our sleeves up and dig in.... hopefully we can get the lads to do the same week in week out.

With many of the teams around us seeing a recent change in fortune, HW two on the spin and Colliers Wood this week. It's important that we turn up with the attitude we did last night. win ugly if we have too, be hard to beat.

One game at a time!

Oh hope you feel better ;)

Sorry Chris - That was in reference to the fact you are both playing one another this week.... so at best for us you will both walk away with a point. My point was that we have to just knuckle down grind our results and not be distracted by that around us. Apologies

Thank you " Millers " for your accurate assessment of last nights Ash V Cove game. It's going to be a real fight now for us, but as last night showed, we are playing well, working hard, and just need to put those chances away at vital times in the match. Well done to Cove, who play with lots of confidence, and will definitely upset a lot of the top teams this season. Four games away from home now, which will be tough, but picking up points will be vital, as the tail enders seem to be improving fast.

Southall 4-3 Lammas

Great game, Staines rested a few but it backfired, chance to get into a final. Ref awarded a 94th pen for the worst decision I've ever seen. Saying that Southall did deserve it, going infront 3 times. Maybe Staines have their eye on that 3rd place.

I thought Staines Lammas started the game better and for the first 20 mins looked like they would go on and win the game but Southall were the better team over the 90 mins and deserved the win.

Out of interest anyone on here know who the little old man (Staines Lammas supporter) is ? he has some mouth on him he was standing in front of the club house in the second half i think he was wearing thick rose tinted glasses ;)

Think I know the guy you are referring to. There was a guy giving the Frimley coaching staff a going over from the sidelines on Saturday, just a touch partisan! You can see him appear in the video at one point.
