End of season Walk (s)

Any pointers on the NGU route yet? As I'm running I'll be leaving later than the walkers in the vain hope of catching up later. Basically I know it's along the Grand Union Canal for the most part but I'm guessing at some point I'll have to turn off (I'm guessing at around Hayes from the maps I've googled). Also where to leave the canal at NG and where the finish is would be handy! It's not exactly a route I can use a typical web based route finder for either. I can understand if you can't get one online but if I was to pop down to Wexham Park in the morning would someone have a paper copy? I really don't want to end up in central London if I can avoid it.

Alan H is sorting the route out for this one. I am sure he will have a paper copy on Saturday morning. His mobile no is on the website for coach booking, so perhaps give him a buzz on both directions and pramability (have I just invented a new word), he can advise

A few thankyous are in order. Kay - thanks for the lift this morning. Martin & Radders thanks for the company on the walk. Warren/Gary thanks for the sponsorship and Mark Bailey cheers for your fundraising efforts with old colleagues. And a big thank you to all the other walkers who've helped to raise money for two charities that hold a lot of special meaning for myself and HorshamRebel. Great job all round.

Well thats day one of walk two done. Well to be fair it was more of a sprint as we set off two hours later than planned (my fault).but still arrived at the time we planned to be finished.

We witnessed the ultimate in road kill, seeing a large deer hit and killed right in front of us. Rather distressing.

A leisurely 20 miles tomorrow and that that done for another season!

Thatcham have kindly agreed to allow us to do a collection tomorrow evening.
