Brightside Bloke
BILLERICAY put in a gutsy but ultimately fruitless performance in the west country today as they lost 2-0 at Conference South leaders Salisbury City. The Town Crier
Proud of the lads, with injured and ill players taking to the field and sat on the bench we still put in a decent performance against the leagues leaders. Barry Proudfoot
Yeah can't fault the effort put in by the players yesterday. Saturday is a massive game now
extaffyjim
Theyve only dropped 4 points at home this season, so it was always going to be a very tough ask. Glad to hear we put in a good performance. The table is starting to look a bit frightening, but given we've only had 1 home games since early December, probably not surprising. Fingers crossed we get a chance to prove ourselves at home soon (Saturday please), and start climbing the table As Barry says, the Bromley game next week (hopepfully!) is a biggie
Ryan.c
The players gave it everything yesterday. A full strength side would've taken something from that game. But when you're down at the bottom everything seems to conspire against you whilst supporters start to go missing. The ups/downs/joys of supporting a non-league side! jl
I thought we did ok but we could have done better with both their goals. We have had an incredibly difficult sequence of games and the lack of homes games has only made that worse. Next Saturday is mahoosive. COYB! Umbrella Man
Was a good effort yesterday and more than matched Salisbury 1st half probably edged it,after a bright start they scored with their 1st effort on target that's has happened a few times this year then i think they scored the 2nd goal with their 3rd shot on target . As it's been said already when your down the wrong end things always seem to go against you. Was still a great day out in an excellent city well done to all that made it a great day shame about the result. Massive game on Saturday.
Barry Proudfoot
Nice place Salisbury, not too sure about the people who go and support the local team though. some comments from the terraces were nothing short of disgraceful.
Eastside Urchin
When we went there within 5 minutes in the town centre a bloke was smashing the crap out of a car in front of hundreds of people trying to get to his Missus to kill her,saw another 3 or 4 punch ups, army town, full of nutters
