Ground developments

With the farce at Holloways Park continuing, what is happening to get the new ground sorted out and then have our fate in our own hands?

In the last article posted on the clubs website about the ground in the news section "Arbour Park to be part of the Slough Regeneration Partnership" on 12th October 2012 it stated that the regeneration partnership were now involved with the ground.

We are now 4 months on from that statement and there has been no more news - has the planning aplication been passed, stalled or abandoned?

The original target date for the ground was to have it up and running for the 2011/12 season and link into the Olympics.

If the Planning process has stalled or worse, should the club be considering what other grounds locally are available with the correct ground grading and decent pitch for next season.

SYCOBS Cabbage patch / dust bowl / ski centre / swimming pool of a pitch is just not up to having two leauge teams play on it.

according to the observer there was a meeting this week which took place at the site and there seems to be a delay now waiting for the govt to allow a change of use for a school site, they think it might take a further year, but (as we all are ) they are hoping for it to be a lot less time as everybody is in agreement for the development to go ahead, so i'm not holding my breath on this one.
