Photographing Croydon FC

Andy Nunn

Recommended Posts

Was hoping to go over to Croydon tonight to photograph their match against Guernsey . I have emailed several people at the club but no response !

Is there anyone on this forum who is involved with Croydon ? I don't want to be to presumptuous and just turn up without prior permission , any help would be greatly received !

As far as I aware the match is going ahead ! I have never had a problem with paying on the gate and I am more than happy to put my hand in my pocket !

It's more a question of good manners I don't like to take any club for granted and just presume it's OK to come along and take photos .

Look forward to seeing them Andy and hopefully you have the Press to shoot for this game??

There's a strong argument for having the local press in Croydon shot. The Croydon Ad has the worst non league coverage imaginable.

You reckon! You should try getting coverage in Epsom, a Borough without a single Senior club playing in its boundary remember.

I think it's typical of the way things are these days that local papers are of less importance to internet knowledgeable people. Take this forum for example. We will have usually discussed the facts, the merits, the controversies and looked at the match photos as soon as by lunch time after the game has been played. Four days later you might then see a report in the locals, if you're lucky. No wonder many these days don't make the effort to cover teams, especially those at Step Five. Luckily we all make our own entertainment on our own websites and forums like these nowadays!

Surely, it's all down to the local clubs to EDUCATE the local press ?

If you don't have good liason with them, you can't expect good coverage !
