The Town Crier
With further rain forecast at the weekend, and little improvement to the damaged areas of our pitch, We need to make some emergency repairs. So if anyone can attend tomorrow evening, with a Flat(ish0 Garden Spade, I want to cut a drain into the damaged area on the far side, and depending on numbers/time we could also strengthen the area on the near side. I guess it will just be the usual suspects, but the more people on-site, the quicker, and better, it will get done. Thank you.

jl
Met Office App is saying dry in Billericay all day Friday, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. With no home game until the 23rd you might be better off waiting for a bit before any creative landscaping?
The Town Crier
yeah, they have up-dated since I looked at 10am, but it could all change again. Puting in a drain isn't going to do any harm, and with no first team home game for a while, its the ideal time.
jl
Whilst I realise it's about as reliable as a Findus ingredients list the BBC are also suggesting that it will be dry all of next week.....

The Town Crier
Draining the far side is imperative if we are not to lose anymore games But as for todays working party...its called OFF, Grant is going to speak to a groundsman . Rich.m
aaa......there goes my valentines date forking the pitch fingers crossed grant can get this rectified because, points on the board is much better than games in hand as we found out last season! Barry Proudfoot
Easier to make points up at the bottom of the league than at the top. 1 home game all year and only came this season. As the saying goes for all clubs fighting relegation "you've gotta win your home games" well if you don't have any you can't win them, once the pitch is sorted and/or dried out I'm sure out league position will improve
