Eastside Urchin
Sutton with 5 games in hand on us,although down there should get out of it so shouldn't really be a concern for us. Basingstoke, bath both losing is good Staines, bromley and Ricay both not playing means they will have a nasty backlogue, although if the league do hold the season over for a week or so it won't be as bad, saying that, with the playoff dates usually set in stone I can't see it happening unless more games are called off in next few weeks. If we can beat maidenhead Saturday it drags them right down there
urchinman1961
There are certain sides within our sites but shouldnt be relying on other teams to do us a favour we will get back to winning ways soon 4 hardest games left on the radar for me are all away boring wood chelmo dover and dorchester
Eastside Urchin
3 weeks ago I would of agreed that its up to us but we ain't going to win the majority of our games, lets be realistic. We are in a relegation battle, need to start scoring and winning the odd game here and there, pick up the odd point away from home, stop giving stupid goals away, stop picking up needless bookings which will mean key players getting bans towards the end of the season Personally I think we will stay up as there are a few sides that appear worse than us,namely Ricay,Staines,Truro,Basingstoke and a couple of others who I don't rate May be harsh but its a fact
cup of tea
Our position was always going to weaken when the games in hard got played. I refuse to accept that we are one of the three worst teams in the league however. It's just the wins that are eluding us at the moment but we are undefeated in 4 games and we've had a bit of bad luck along the way as well. All to play for still. Eastside Urchin
Billericay are worse than us,even more so now their best player has left but like us they will battle to get points. Staines don't look in good shape and Basingstoke were dreadful. Sutton I thought were poor but their victory last night showed that may of been an off day. Truro look knackered but will pick up points at home and some of those at the bottom have to go their. If we can get 7 points from our next 3 games that will be massive for us,even 6 would be. andydick
There's so many teams still involved in the fight to avoid the drop .. Apart from those already mentioned .. a couple of weeks ago, Bath, Bromley, Eastbourne and Maidenhead all looked comfortable in mid table but a couple of defeats soon sees teams plummet. Havant's next 4 games are against Welling, Chelmsford and Eastleigh (all away) and home to Salisbury. They could be in the bottom 3 after that. Key thing is to beat the teams around you .. if we can get good points in our next 3 home games (Maidenhead, Staines and Bath) we'll do ourselves a power of good. SEVEN TEARS BOY
Not always sure about that Andy - remember in 2010/11 Wolves stayed up because they beat Man U (their first league defeat of the season!), City and Arsenal all at home, and still only just stayed up! Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Totally agree that we are in a relegation battle. I know we all said that this season wasnt going to be easy but i really did think that we would hold our own mid-table or there abouts. We really need to start wiining the next few games otherwise i do believe its bye bye conference south!! My faith, if after the next couple of games, if we dont win them or draw at least one, will be wearing fairly thin.
