Daniel not that long ago we were given stick for not giving it time, also the match ref works so he couldn't get to the ground until 5-25.

 

I would like to thank Paul Whitney, Ian Gould and his merry men for there hard work in trying to get the game on. Adrian Gillett for taking time out of his lunch to inspect the pitch Tuesday and getting to the ground asap tonight. and finally Peter Greenhill for his assistance this afternoon.

So, with no rain forecast can we safely assume that Saturday's game will be on or will more work on the cabbage patch/swimming pool be required.

 

One way or another we need to get Saturday's game on.

On the clubs web site and twitter this game is OFF tonight Thursday 14th.

 

Looks like it may be moved to next Tuesday

 

 

Why cancel a league game, which we can ill afford to, when we could play it next Thursday?

Personally, I'd try and play the cup game on the same night as the North Greenford game on Tuesday, and play the bloody youth team!

Whilst I might agree with some of the above comments, the decision about when we play the Cup game is not in our hands.

Have any clubs written to the league requesting that the league season is extended???

 

It's actually becoming a farce!

I wouldn't bank on the league showing any common sense on the issue.

 

This is the same league that has introduced the rule that means we can't follow Cookham Rebel's suggestion, by having to play at least 7 players who have featured in one of the last 2 league games.

 

This is the same league that insisted on us completing our league fixtures last season after we'd lost in the play-offs, where there was no conceivable benefit to anyone whatsoever.

Question, what would be the worst punishment the league could inflict on any team that didn't adhere to this ludicrous 7 player rule???

 

I'd like to see that attempt to be imposed in the Capital One Cup.... Ferguson, Wenger etc would all ignore it and get away with it!!!
