I know our game against CW at Meadowbank tonight was postponed due to CW's cup game, and I haven't heard how the pitch is today, BUT as of 6:00pm last night, I would have said that Meadowbank was a definite NON-STARTER for today.

 

Hey-Ho ! 4 days for it to dry out. It did take a battering last Saturday.

Any news on Sandhurst yet, and if it is postponed whether an attempt would be made on Thursday instead. We saw that it was likely to be off yesterday but there is no official confirmation on our website yet.

 

I was intrigued by the comments that Sutton United's Conference fixture can take priority over County Cup, yet ours clearly can't as Molesey v CWD took the place of our game at Molesey and many other league games have been moved as a result.

 

Can someone advise the official line on this and does this then force higher ranked sides to put their reserves out, devaluing this once grand competition further? It used to be a priority on a Saturday back when I started watching.

vii. Surrey County FA Limited cup competitions shall take precedence over league or other Competitions

in which clubs compete except Football Association competitions, and as provided for in regulation

21 of the Football Association Regulations for the Sanction and Control of Competitions.

Not that it's of any consequence, but I've just had a call from Meadowbank.....

 

IF we'd had a game tonight, it would almost be a 100% non-starter. Now all the snow has all melted, leaving one third water-logged.

 

We are hoping, (without more heavy rain), to start working on it on Thursday.
