jl
Disappointing result today. It was a close game that could have gone either way. We missed a couple of big chances and they made their chances count. Unfortunately we are still conceeding way too many goals - at least two of the goals were very poor from our point of view. It's still tight and some of those above us have played a lot more games. We need to make home advantage count when we get the chance!! COYB!! Sticks
I thought we were good for a point but we got caught at the death on the break from our corner. Conceded some poor goals but we need to put it behind us and get three points on Tuesday. 'Interesting' reaction from their keeper at full time. If there's any justice he'll pay for it on the final day at NL. COYB!
GazzaBTFC
I came away from that game quite depressed. True it could've gone either way and for periods we bossed them with very little end product. I am sure we'll pick ourselves up and put together a run but given re home advantage, Maidenhead were not all that. As for the goalkeepers reaction, I didn't hear it but was told. I am surprised at our supporters reaction as they were directing the same language at him all through the game. In a World of cheques and balances, although not the best representation of both parties, he had the bragging rights.
Patriot
Gazza, I hardly ever agree with you, but reiterate your post especially the bit re the goalkeeper. He was dug out all game by us and to be fair reacted at the end like most would. Yeah the language weren't the best but he received that on numerous occasions. I personally thought it was funny.........
Umbrella Man
It's always a shame to lose even more at the death,What made it worse was when we have a corner in the 91st minute going all out for a win and then 30 seconds later we are 3-2 down . As for the keeper thing i didn't think he got to much stick unless i missed it ,sure he was slowing the game down when they were winning 1-0 then 2-1 but it's some thing keepers do at all levels,Can only guess that them winning the game right at the end made him a little bit hyper . But was another decent day out following the Blues hopefully we'll get a game on Tuesday and get back on track.
Ryan.c
Not quite sure what to make of that performance. Could of been out the match after 15 minutes with Beasant pulling off a couple of great saves. We couldn't handle the 10 and he was a constant pain all game. But once Swaine had got the equaliser we looked more dangerous. Had Jay May taken his chance when clean thru, or Semakula tucked away the rebound it could've been so different. Losing Rodgers was a blow. The winner came from our right and had he been on the pitch I'm pretty sure he would've dealt with it better. Three debuts yesterday all coming from the bench! Can't deny Maidenhead the win, overall I thought they probably just about deserved it. The word consistency keeps cropping up and something we need to introduce to our game. Finishing above Staines and Hornchurch should be the aim, we're still on course but the league table will start to stretch out over the next couple of weeks. Massive game Tuesday at home to Eastbourne. Everyone's support is needed.
The Town Crier
Winning away from home is nice, but Not losing, is essential I do feel we have been unlucky lately, but that tends to even its self out over a season, so I would hope the "rub of the green" will be with us soon. talking of luck...the weather looks like it may disrupt yet another home game!!! JoeV
Must say I am concerned about whether Tuesdays game will go ahead. Hopefully the snowfall ceases.
