I fancy buying a semi-expensive bottle of Single Malt from Safeway on the way home.

 

Any suggestions from any whiskey connoisseurs out there??

Forget the whiskey, go for the Aftershock gift pack. It's round the end of the wine aisle at the back of the store.

I had a red one in the Cross Keys the other Sunday lunch. Up there they do a red and blue where the two are not mixed in the glass, ie one sits on top of the other. I suggest you and the bar team practice this before my next visit, Brewster.

The whiskey isn't for tonight anyway. I just like to have a bottle of decent stuff lying around during the Autumn months.

 

Possibly could go out tonight, as Mrs Zeal is out on the piss with her mates this evening, but at the moment, I can't say I particularly feel like it.

with whiskey you want to get a bottle of expensive stuff and a few bottles of the cheap piant stipper ..

have a glass or 3 of the decent gear then switch to the [****!!****], you wont be able to tell the difference..

this will give you the financial leverage to really load up on a good bottle
