OldTowner
Good result Tuesday, but let's not get carried away. Stones away record over last few games, not so good, but let's not get carried away. We need a good crowd supporting Town all the game. Get there in numbers and bring a friend or three. BIG GAME, Town need YOUR support. Plenty of SUPPORTIVE NOISE. Come on your TOWNERS. Don't forget Butler's Bar will be open for the Spurs game on Sky. Chase Side Towner
I would settle for a draw if offered now. Imber and the defence have looked a lot tighter in recent games (with some excellent back up from the midfield), so if they play like they have hopefully it's no more than one goal to Wealdstone. That definitely gives us a chance of at least a point.

Mr Happy
Good performance, loads of effort and we deserved AT LEAST a point. If the side can keep up that level of effort and skill it will be Ryman Prem for us next season.
CD Towner
Substitutions baffled me again today? SN certainly does have some interesting views on making changes!
OldTowner
End to end stuff with neither team really dominating play. On this showing I think it was difficult to say who was 4th in the League and who was 14 places lower. Rub of the green did not go Town's way, but big lessons to learn - once you have lost a decision ( corner or not ) then DEFEND. Substitutions left a bit late to change the game, for my liking. Next couple of games Tues v Police and Sat v Kingstonian will be difficult games. Just got to keep going Lads.
Enfield United
I enjoyed the game thoroughly and am very confident that carshalton, Hastings, Harrow and Cray will end up below us by the end of the season. Play with the effort we showed yesterday and we'll pick up points v Met Police and give the K's a run for their money too. This Ref is normally a good decision maker but was not at his finest yesterday. Big Decisions went against us, firstly the Wealdstone defender who threw a off ball Donkey kick at McGleish should have walked. I saw it from the Grandstand, Jason saw it from the bench and the ref saw it too and bottled the decision, what a shame. The ref's words were (as I heard him say) 'he only lifted his knee at him', what rubbish. Secondly, it was such a clear goal kick for ETFC when the goalscoring corner was given to Wealdstone, yes we need to defend everything, but Wealdstone had a momentum at the start of the second half and this decision assisted that momentum. Thirdly, Gunz's fall in the box was dramatic and may have worked against him for the penalty claim, it doesnt take away the fact the Wealdstone man having his hands on his back and impeding his run. A possible pen for me, afterall, if a corner was given in the benefit of doubt to the attacking team in one instance then the same should be for another. We derserved at least a point against a decent side.
Steph
EU Not often I agree with you but I thought the ref was wearing a yellow shirt yesterday. (In more ways than one). You also forget O'brien's booking. I haven't said Hammet as his tackle was clumsy and did break down a good attacking move. A booking certainly but O'brien!!! He made a mistimed tackle which tripped a forward who was not a threat to anyone there was little danger but the bloke went down as if pole axed. It was a foul but a free kick was reasonable punishment - a booking!!!! I have an open mind but our disallowed goal? Two friends at the match state that the goalkeeper was not fouled but did not reach the ball. I thought the ref blew before actual contact but concede it was probably a foul I was waiting for the video.

Arkwright
Very quiet behind the goal, was it a sponsored silence for 90 minutes?
OldTowner
Agreed, Very poor support in terms of noise, even with the drum there. Well done the Stones lot who cheers their side all the way. Come on Towners - get behind the team.

The game was end to end and I was impressed with the way the team worked as a unit and played with a 'never say die' attitude. Great to see Jay attacking down the left giving us plenty of options. Now how long have we been wanting to see this? Let's hope we can steal three points from the Met Police on Tuesday.
