Fundraising for CRY (in memory of Paul Sykes)

Invictorite

Recommended Posts

As a few people at Invicta have been made aware, I (Sam Jones, Invicta fan) will be running the 2013 Virgin London Marathon to raise vital funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity which has been supported by our Club since 2005.

I will be running in memory of Paul Sykes. Following Paul's death in 2005 - a night which will forever stick in the memory of pretty much all of Kentish football's fanbase - CRY supported Paul's family and offered free heart screening to all family members. CRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to young sudden cardiac death.

I am asking for donations as this is such a worthy cause. I am not a runner(!) but am doing this because of how strongly I wish to support the charity and to make a difference to young sportsmen and women around the country.

Please dig deep and help out however you can. No donation is too big or small, and all are greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to get up and running on the fundraising front.

Many thanks to all! Wish me luck.

Sam
