Horley Town 3 Croydon 0. Horley missed a penalty at 3-0. Fairly even game but we scored 3 goals midway through first half which killed the game. Croydon played some decent football but didn't really threaten our goal.

Very disappointingly Horley's 18 year old Jack Poplett broke his ankle when his studs stuck in the pitch when making a tackle. No blame to any Croydon player. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Wood 1-3 Ash United

Report here - http://spiderbee.tri...cwufc/id11.html

3 important points after a week to forget.

Team battled hard throughout & got the perfect start scoring inside the first min. Colliers equalised before halftime. The pitch getting heavier & cut up as exepcted as it rain throughout the day, but players kept trying to play football & we got the perfect start to the second half with an early goal. Held firm under colliers pressure & scored a third late on.

hope this is the turning spot of the season but a very very tough game next week a home game against Egham

Perhaps I best await TSF's comments on yesterdays match against HW before I make comment.

Stupid me read this one as an away fixture so I went to the Green instead, sounds like it was an ugly win Gaz but that don't matter its the 3 points that is important at this stage, did Bonzo play ? I said on tuesday after the Hartley fiasco that he should play himself he is more than good enough and where has Bunter gone ?

Dorking nil hw two

We beat them 4 3 away first game of season and I said then both sides would be near bottom

Well done hw. You battled well and maybe wanted it more

On reflection letting in five goals in two games against a pretty poor side isn't good enough

Strangely I think our defenders are our better players

Time for EVERYONE at the club to look at what we are doing and decide if we are helping or hindering progress.

I'm not going to repeat what I did on here a few seasons back as I accept the reality of the situation

I don't think anyone at Dorking football club can take any pride in where we are on and off the field

If we all carry on as we are , we will have noone wanting to play, no one wanting to coach, no one wanting to watch

The players need to want to play for the club and work for each other

The coaches need to yet again widen their net and put out a competitive side that doesn't ship goals

The supporters need to turn up. Bring a friend and do a bit for the club in whatever way we can

The directors need to facilitate and encourage that.

Overall we all need to work together to improve

Right now I see no unity of purpose or any sense of direction.

I'm sick to death hearing about supermarkets councils and vandalism

We have football matches to play whatever happens over the brook

Everyone at Dorking FC who reads this please consider this

If you are helping win those games thankyou

Try a bit harder!

If you are hindering us win matches, please get out of the way.

Didn't realise Westfield were unbeaten at home NLN. Gonna be a decent semi final on Tuesday now. Staines were brilliant yesterday, like chief scout said its hard to beliveve the 8th.

Staines the best side that we have faced this season. Think your 3 lads from Staines Town have made a huge difference. Your two managers are decent fellas as well. I'm confident you will take points offs other promotion contenders this seaon.

I would have loved to go to the match yesterday, but I went to the last Vase game and once you've got there, hotel, food, cider, car parking at the Airport it must have cost around £300. With this trip it would have been heading towards £400 all in.

GFC TV gave me the opportunity to watch the match, the ex-pat army travelled in great numbers. I am told a rough estimate was close to 100 Guernsey fans at the game. So I am grateful that Spalding were kind enough to allow GFCTV to film.

3-1 to the Millionaires was the chant yesterday.

Really good result for us at Westfield yesterday, you know your always going to get a game against those boys and I hope we take the same effort and attitude into Tuesday's semi (it its on) and then Frimley at home next Sat who will want to avenge the defeat by us at there place a few weeks back. Really got some big games left this season with 3 semi finals to go at and the challenge of finishing as high as possible whilst spoiling a few promotion parties along the way. Should be fun!

Duncs...bonz played 70mins & did very well, even got himself booked

Bunter I can't say as I dont know

I do know he's trying to bring in some more experience players in the next couple off weeks to help us out of this mess

Have to agree NLN, Staines boys have made a big difference, the lad Lewis up top is unplayable at times. Plays well with Matt upfront too. Think they've took points of Eversley, Spelthorne, Frimley already and I agree on this showing if think there take more.

Does that mean E&E made the right decision to ban GTV and Spalding would have got twice as big a gate if they had also banned GTV?

No!

Apparently Spalding somewhat optimistically expected 350 Guernsey fans and this probably where they got 750 from.

I have been to every GFC UK game bar one ( and yes I was at E&E - a friendly bunch too ) and virtually every GFC fan that I have met at those games was at Spalding - all making a massive effort to get there even though watching on their laptops would have been easier and a lot cheaper! Personally I do not think GFCTV has an adverse effect on attendances - plus it gives fans of all CCL clubs a chance to see their team play in Guernsey. A lot of people's argument is that it costs the clubs money in lost revenue - well the same could be said of GFC - if they did not stream home games then more people might travel to Guernsey - something I would encourage anybody to do if they are able . Guernsey FC is a registered charity and non profit operation - not one player , director or member of the coaching staff takes a penny for their efforts. All money goes to the not inconsiderate running costs of the club.

GFCTV is offering a service to all fans.

Do you really think E&E haven't used it as a scouting tool - I know most clubs do and Erith and Belvedere most certainly did before their Vase trip - bit hypercritical to ban GFCTV if they have used it.

One think I will say for GFC fans is they do like to spend money over the bar - we left Spaldings very friendly bar last night to get the 8pm train home -and by 6.30 pm they had run out of Lager on tap , Guinness and Bitter - bottled beers only - so if they had expected 750 then they had woefully under stocked the bar - or underestimated our beer consumption. Very friendly club and a pleasure to visit.

Lets hope everyone can get behind GFC and Hanworth Villa and let's hope for an all CCL final. - CCL family.

But they're charging for it. And why don't other clubs in far flung corners of the country offer the same service? As has been said, the Isthmian league won't allow it. Niether will the Conference. What happens when / if you go up?

And as for the earlier comment about Spalding allowing it, it's an FA competition so Spalding have no say. You need permission from the FA as they own the rights to games in their cups. I'm surprised they've granted if - it GFCTV have actually asked them. If they haven't asked the FA I seriously suggest someone gets them to do it as you don't want to be breaking FA rules at this stage of the competition.

I wish Guernsey, Hanworth Villa and a Hellenic League team local to us, Ascot United, the best of luck in the Vase. If any of them get to the final I'll go.

Anyway - Farnham 1 Camberley 3.

Camberley continued from where they left off at Croydon by dominating this game from the start. I don't think Farnham's lack of games recently has helped them!

The first goal was a cross that a defender sliced with the ball looping over the goalie. We went 2-0 up a few minutes later. There were claims of offside from Farnham and, from my position they looked legitimate claims, but the lino said 'loads' of Farnham players were playing our fella on.

Farnham got more into the game towards half time and the second half was more even but we scored a third in the 61st minute that basically wrapped the game up.

Farnham got a goal back in the fourth minute of injury time from a penalty. I was in the bar so didn't see the challenge but our goalie got a straight red for denying a goal scoring opportunity. No arguments with that but it made me wonder why the punishment for that - a three game ban - is the same as violent conduct. Seems harsh.

The penalty was saved by Luke Turkington who came off the sub's bench to go in goal but Farnham scored from the rebound.

I can't remember seeing any other card issued in the game which doesn't surprise as it was played in the right spirit by both teams.

Had a pint in The Wheatsheaf before the game. Was gonna pop across into 101 Collector's Records to have a flick through but didn't. Maybe next season.
