Uncle F
I have to say that that was the best performance I have seen by Windsor FC, we could have scored 8 and restricted the home side to one shot. Well done to Micky and the boys, what a class act Micky is! No tantrums on the sidelines and he has created a very attractive side with excellent team spirit. Fuzzy Royal
I would say the last 25 minutes of the first half and the first 25 mins on the second half are the best I have seen from a Windsor side for a very long time. The whole team looked like they wanted it and performed as a unit. The passing through the midfield was at times sublime, Sherman looks really classy and Pearse looks like a real talent for the future, Laza and Gould up front ran the defence ragged. When I turned up I would probably have taken a point, then I saw we had no Bully, Ellis or Harris and wondered if we could get the point. But the way we played we dominated midfield and created chance after chance, our defence looked solid and the new chap in goal looked comfortable. It was impressive to see how such a young team looked so accomplished, well done to the team and the management. One negative, the referee was abysmal, even by CCL standards, he lost control early on and a game that was not really nasty ended up with two players being sent off because of the referee. He is the reason fans moan about refs and the players get frustrated, he had no consistency and some of his decisions were just ridiculous. Just one question, what was that kit all about, it was dire!!!!
Geggy
Agree with all of the above! A very impressive performance! When I think back and how we nearly lost the likes of Lazza, Ben and Gouldy because of lack of opportunities what we were doing! It showed give them the opportunities and the confidence and they'll thrive! On the CCL forum there's some video highlights of the game once you've watched you'll see how shocking our sending off was!!! If ever video evidence was needed to overturn a decision!! As for the kit have to blame the kitman right ?! Joke Malc!
Windsor_Sec
Kit - definitely not Malcs fault [for a change. LOL] ! Since we joined the CCL, Badshot Lea, Horley & Farnham Town have all worn claret & blue at Stag Meadow when we're the home team in red and there has not once been an issue with a referee because of it until yesterday ! Because of the issue we have with our white kit being unwashable and the league instruction not to wear our blue kit it seemed to me we wouldn't have an issue with the red kit for the reasons in the first sentence but it just goes to show the inconsistency of decision making which, by all accounts, was continued on the pitch as well ! Got to say I'm amazed at how long this white kit issue is taking to sort out though because if I had bought clothes that were deemed 'Unfit for purpose' I would want it sorted out in days rather than months or is it Nike not wanting to admit there's a problem with their kit ? We still have five away games that will require a kit change [based on yesterday's decision] so let's hope the away kit issue gets sorted before the fines start rolling in ! Rother
Presumably it was for kicking the ball away after the FK was awarded. Very harsh as it only went 20 yards. Their sending off seemed very harsh as well - I assume it was for kicking the ball at the Windsor player on the ground but it was hardly done with venom and was only "in the general direction". Have to say that Badshot Lea looked a shambles and a shadow of the excellent outfit they were earlier in the season. Argung amongst themselves after every goal is a syre-fire sign that all is not well. Excellent stuff from Windsor. Rob's 2 goals were superb, very reminiscent of Adam Le Fondre I thought!! Fuzzy Royal
What annoys me about the Windsor sending off is that we had the game won, they were down to ten and there was no need to kick the ball away. In fact all players know you might get booked for it (George in the first half), although Badshot seemed allowed to do it on numerous occasions without any punitive actions being taken. I think the fact we had played so well at the back it was a sour taste at the end of a mouth watering display served up by our players. If we play like that on Monday we will give Binfield a hell of a game, and I would love for our players and the management to be rewarded with a trophy, because on the strength of the past few months they deserve it. I would be intrigued to know the average age of the team yesterday,we started with a 16 year old, scary to think how good he could be in three years when he hits the ripe old age of 19!!!! So much young local talent, I just hope we keep it together because next season could be VERY exciting with this group of players
Windsor_Sec
Average age for starting 11 was 20.636, average age of 16-man squad was 20.687. Youngest @17 Harry Pearse & Kane Jones, oldest @24 Jason Sheehan. Not that I find Sunday afternoons boring of course !

Jay had already been booked in the first half and then in the second half kicks the ball away after the award of a free kick. Bear in mind that George Gould had been booked for the same thing in the first half.
Don't Blame Me
I remember discussing the choice of white shirts with Mal before the season started. Why oh why did we go down this road? At least the league made a ruling on the blue kit from last season which, under lights, was farcical. Can we please have red and green somewhere next season?
Windsor_Sec
Fluorescent green has to be the way forward as far as away kits go, won't matter then if the lights are bad or not ! With regards to the white kit there are plenty of teams that wear white kits across the country and they don't have an issue, the issue in our case is the material itself not the colour as it just won't wash properly. Fuzzy Royal
Okay, the kit doesn't wash properly, why don't we send it back under the sale of goods act then, just get a replacement kit and then the issue is solved? Am I simplifying this too much? By the way Steve love the work on the average age, do you know what he lowest average age has been this season? I reckon we must have had a lower average age?!?!?! BAD GUY
Excellent result against the much fancied baddy Lea at the beginning of the season, but they are falling away like flies of late. Just a matter of interest is Ben Harris injured, suspended ot left Windsor as he has not featured for almost a moth now ?
Rother
Injured, knee ligaments and stress fracture (or something like that) - out for season. He's been attending games on crutches, supporting the lads which is good to see.
