Coffin Ender
Rusty performance as you would expect, not having played for a month. Only goal was a bouncing cross which Holloway let in. I assume one of their forwards ran across him as it came in. Their keeper made a great save first half and Long put a very good chance wide second half, but it was a tight game and they missed some decent chances too. We had half the crowd of 172. dflman
A strange ground - a big stand that was almost in the next property it was so far away from the pitch but behind one of the goals there was room for one deep only so no one could get past. Clubroom almost as cold as outside was and only a small tv to watch as their big set has been knicked twice now apparently. Burger was ok though as was the pint of San Miguel. Reports of crowd trouble to be ignored as they are clearly the work of someone with an agenda who wasn't even at the game - there was a bit of banter between the choir and their No 4 (it could be said that he deserved a barracking)who said in the bar afterwards that it was nothing that caused him any bother. wade
Disasterous result. Had most of play but they had best chances.Holloway mistake for their goal hopeful cross/shot seemed to find its way past him (through his legs).I worry about our chances against the three main contenders in next 3 games-whitehawk,lowestoft and wealdstone. I think we needed a good start under our new management and we could be looking at some challenging games with little to show for it. On positive note I thought the players were up for it and the new lad Campbell at left back showed promise with a nice touch and good left foot. Peter Cove
Liked the look of Rhodesy when he came on! certainly like to see more of him!
dflman
On reflection it was a rusty side out there. Let's hope they can gear up for Whitehawk next week. I can see that we missed Richard Avery. Alex Rhodes looked good when he came on. Carl Rook was mostly not in the penalty box so didn't feature much . We need another striker don't we - one who could score 52 goals in 60 appearances possibly ?

A local supporter asked me how he could complain to Wingate about the language the Wingate player used rigth in front of his kids. Presumeably linked to same incident but overall nothing to get over excited about from our supporters point of view. Who could possibly have their own agenda as far as the club is concerned?
