PremiershipJoyRider
Best wishes to Nathan, a solid dependable player. He will be a serious loss to our squad. Is he leaving us JUST to get a game (joke).
A Rebel and a Saint
A great loss for us but a fantastic opportunity for him. He has been a great player for us and hopefully this will work out for him. All the best Nathan, and thanks for all of your efforts over the last few years. I guess this means that, unless Bateman has someone else lined up, Kyle Anthony will drop into the space in our defence.

Mr Rebel
big loss but best of luck to him. always a very dependable player who gave his all every time stepped on the pitch even with Kyle Anthony surely we would need 1 more defender just in case especially with so many games to play

Cookham Rebel
Timing stinks yet again, same thing happened last season when we lost Seeby and Martin! Just hope the lesson has been learnt and a replacement of NBH's calibre is brought in urgently, our style of play is suited to a 3-5-2 so switching to a 4-4-2 is not ideal, personally I'd go and get Sweeney back to replace NBH as the right sided centre back but that's me. Good luck Nathan, we'll no doubt see you back in the amber and blue some time in the future! CR

Mark44
will be missed but think it makes way for 4-4-2 which means that Parsons will be allowed to play in his best position
Cookham Rebel
Guildford starting 11 should be: Warrington A.Deeney Brown Woozley Murphy Parsons D.Deeney Anthony Swift Burnell Smith Subs: Fraser, Rhone, Burgess, Logie, O'Toole

Good luck Nathan, we'll no doubt see you back in the amber and blue some time in the future! CR I'm gutted NBH is leaving. That is a major blow. The timing of it sucks. I agree a quality replacement must be sought but getting them used to our defensive play/tactics in so little time is a big ask.Have to agree with Hotspur that with NBH going and the number of games we have to play, bang goes the championship. We now only have a very slim chance of making the lower play-off spots. One person who will benefit if Slough don't get promoted this season is Steve Bateman himself,as he really can't be blamed now, given the excellent cup run and this diabolical weather. Means he'll get another season in charge! lol! which may not have been the case in an ordinary season. CR,as good a player as Simon Sweeney is,if he hasn't been playing, then he won't be match fit. We would be better pursuing Chris Seeby. Very doubtful we'll get him, though,as he seems to be playing fairly regular for St Albans. I suppose it will come down to how much Slough are willing to pay to fill the very large boots of NBH's departure but IMO we definitely need another big character/prescence to play alongside Alex Brown and Dave Woozley. I don't see Kyle Anthony or Adam Logie as that player. However, will be interesting to see how Brown and Woozley will fare,if they are played as orthodox centre-halves in a 4-4-2. We certainly have the personnel to play this way but whether it will limited our effectiveness to beat the better teams in this division is debatable. My concern would be their combined lack of pace, which a back three covers. I think Kyle Anthony's signing,as a defensive/holding midfielder could off set this. My team against Guildford would be Warrington Fraser Brown Woozley Murphy Parsons Anthony Swift Rhone Burnell Smith Subs: Burgess, Logie, Martin, D.Deeney, O'Toole. Cookham Rebel
If we don't get promotion this season Steve Bateman will not want another season in charge. I understand what you are saying about Sweeney 3spirit but I am told he is a bit of a freak of nature, one of these players that doesn't need to train etc to be fit, I think he would slot in... From your team above, there is not a cat in hell's chance of Dave Deeney being on the bench, we need him now more than ever... There is also the potential for Dave Deeney to slot into the back 3 with Kyle Anthony or Adam Logie taking up his midfield enforcer role alongside any 2 of our other midfielders... That being said, I am saying the above without knowing Adam Martin's situation, keep him until the end of the season and it frees up Dave Deeney, Adam Logie or Kyle Anthony to drop into the centre of the back 3, I'd still hope a replacement for NBH is being sort though!
