The game started with a sterile first half hour, with Molesey having the clearer chances and home skipper Arran Taylor-Ives having to clear a shot off the line when keeper Paul Borg went on a bit of a walkabout. It was, though, 4-0 to the Sarnies by half time with goals from exciting new boy Kemo Maphela (signed in the snow break from Harefield United), two from top marksman Jamie Read and one from Brendan Matthew. Read's brilliant hat-trick goal made it 5-0 on 61 minutes then after 78 minutes a scrambled goal by Ross Chalke ruined our hopes of a clean sheet. Punishment for scoring against us came from Matthew's second and Joel Jacobs netting his first for the club with a superb free kick. Chances were there for an even bigger winning margin.
