Even the Guernsey webcam is waterlogged now? :)

 

 

 

Banstead is very high up on the downs and has its own micro climate compared to Epsom Town Centre. However, it is much warmer there since the ground was improved in the nineties, so imagine what it was like before that.

 

It used to be colder? Are you sure? I am not sure that it would be possible to maintain human life at temperatures much lower ...

I have just driven past Footes Lane and will be amazed if the Guernsey game is on tomorrow. The rugby posts are still up and the pitch has not been touched (still marked for rugby) so I reckon if the Track is no go (it has no fixtures on it this weekend and Bels played on it last night) then I cannot see any football for Guernsey agian this weekend. I HOPE I AM WRONG!! They also give rain during the night

Can anyone from egham tell me the chances of there game being on tomorrow?

 

Will venture out if in doubt.

 

Am told that there was water on it this morning ... no surprise there.

A decision will be made early in the morning as to whether a pitch inspection is required

Ok thank you, if egham pitch can't handle the weather then no pitch in the ccl will be played this weekend!

 

On to Walton casuals then!

 

As I said ... will know more early in the morning and will update this site as soon as I know

JDSPFC. Best I can say is 50-50. Spent the afternoon hoovering up puddles, still more left to be done, but have been surprised lately how quick water is going. Hoping for a windy night & day & dry.

We will be doing our upmost as a club to get it on. Did managed to mark it out tho

So fingers crossed.
