Stuntman Mark
I think like most affiliated with the club, this competition isn't a high priority but the further you progress you think it might be nice to go to a final....and then you hear it is over two legs! I do sometimes wonder who runs this league and whether they actual watch and like football. I have a horrible feeling we might go all the way. readingrebel
How long has the final been over 2 legs? and what could possibly be the point unless it's purely down to the sponsor wanting as much exposure as possible from the final? Our Bryco cup final win against Hampton and Richmond was a one off game and was thoroughly enjoyable. I think most of us would enjoy another final as long as it doesn't come at the cost of promotion. Slough Match Sec
going by the league web sit the league cup has always been over 2 legs, league cup info only goes back to 2007/8 season.

brighton_rebel
Me again: do we get money for every game we win? Do we get money for winning the cup? A place in Europe?
Martin
It probably costs us money. Given the home draws once you've met refs expenses and paid Sycob, the gate receipts from the reduced crowds are entirely swallowed up.
Rebel Kay
It isn't the greatest money spinner. In theory we get a share of the gate money, if it breaks into profit
HEAVY TRUCKER
it looks like the other clubs in this competition that have been "knocked out" have managed their fixture list better than us, have i not said all season i think we are making a mistake by winning the ties, nice though as the feeling of winning is, for the sides playing there are no up sides to this competition only costs which in the present financial climate none of us can really justify. Sir Rebel1965
Such negative comments on this thread! There is nothing wrong in the officials of this highly prestigious league celebrating its high status with the pomp and pageantry of this highly regarded cup. It is worth every penny making sure there are lavish complimentary drinks and top class prawn sandwiches for their pre-match, half time and après game delectation. These are the league officials we should thank for ensuring that we have an epic final few months of the season. When they planned out the fixture list it would have been too easy to put all the games in for when the weather was good and when there were free Tuesday nights, but what more could a club and Kay ask for, than the challenge of fitting in all these games into just a few weeks. It must be remembered that this Cup and the County games MUST take precedent as they are so important. The officials of this league are the future of football – what a glorious future we have to look forward to!
Windsor Rebel
It wont make any difference, how many games we have to play, we will still win the league.
