HEAVY TRUCKER
is the Barton match an evening game ? If it is it is unusual for a Saturday, i take it that the k/o time is 1500 and not the 1945 as advertised.

brighton_rebel
If by some miracle Slough actually play on Saturday, i'm going to get train to Harlington and then try and get the bus to Barton. This is one for Dave's the programme - any idea about a regularly bus services or how far away it is?

readingrebel
Barton's cup game with Arlesey was on last night with the pitch being reported as soft. Unfortunately their reserves have a game on the pitch tonight. With a lot of rain predicted for Friday I think we'll all be grateful just to get the game on. readingrebel
Nothing on their Twitter feed so I think it's reasonable to assume that someone from Barton has taken a peek at the pitch today, knows the forecast is dry for tonight and tomorrow and as such no inspection is required so i'd say GAME ON!! Rebel Kay
They will be taking a look at the pitch at 9.30 ish. Today it was very soggy but been a dry and sunny day with a good forecast for tomorrow. I will update as soon as I hear anything in the morning,

PremiershipJoyRider
I cannot believe the game is actually OFF - This season is becoming an absolute joke. This is yet another SATURDAY fixture that will now be moved to midweek - so will be another game that I and a few other fans will not be seeing. Here in Slough today it is a beautiful sunny day. England is only a small country so I find it incredulous that conditions a few miles up the road can be so very different. Sorry if I sound frustrated because I am. However frustrated I am, I can only imagine how frustrated that Steve and his players feel, as every postponement means another setback in our chances of getting out of this league THIS SEASON. Sir Rebel1965
Last week Thatcham off but both Didcot and Baisingstoke either side of them went ahead - this game was called off on the Friday, but all the snow was gone on Saturday morning! Now barton off - is there somthing going on? do the rest of the teams in this league want their cash cow of Slough supporters to stay at this shitty level to subsidise them? well Barton will now get a smaller gate on a Thursday night! The ground gradeing at this level should also look at the "quality" of pitches and the drainage and irigation systems in place.
Don Juan DeMarcus
Bet we are the only game off in our league.....
Mr Rebel
certainly seems we are the only game off so far. that's unlikely to change now either this late in the day. still can't believe 20% of the pitch being a concern was enough to call it off so so early
PremiershipJoyRider
It's rather ironic that of ALL the teams that need a game we are the team that is NOT playing today.
