SUFC
After half a season in the BSS do you find the level that much higher? To be honest I did not see a great difference in our first season in the South.
Lord Upminster
I agree the level of skill witnessed so far does not seem any higher but it is my opinion that fitness levels of the players in this league seem considerably higher which may lead to more consistent performances. cup of tea
I think it's consistency and fitness rather than skill level as the differences at this level. At Ryman Prem level, you could perhaps get away with a below average performance, at this level you will get punished.
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
The only one team that has stood out for me is Welling. The rest are probably no better than the top half of the Ryman.
Wivenhoe Urchin
Yes, I think the fitness level is really important at this level. I could tell yesterday that Andy Thompson definitely had a good game and this was most probably due to the conditions being more difficult, which meant the physicality in the game was more important, so he was the type of player we needed in midfield to help us grind a result. In terms of teams we have played so far and from what I have seen, Welling definitely seem to have the best all round game, particularly as they can beat teams well in good conditions and still grind good results out like they got yesterday. I thought that Chelmsford were also a very good side, though we were depleted at the time player wise. The worst team has to be Basingstoke for me, again there may be other factors involved, but Ashley Bayes did not look comfortable in that team and couldn't really prevent our goals. Surprises for me are WSM right up there, and how Staines are so low when they beat us quite comfortably and looked a decent side.
aka PeteBeatz
The bottom line is I much prefer watching BSS than Ryman. I hope we don't return to the Ryman EVER.

Eastside Urchin
I didn't think there was to start with but I believe the strikers are better, only 4/5 decent in the ryman last season, probably 4 times that this season. Defences are better organised and most clubs have pace and trickery on the wings, fitness is obviously better and the pitches are too
Hornchurch "O"
I think BSS is a lot harder than expected. Seem to get punished a lot more for mistakes.
