LAST NIGHT I HAD A DREAM!!

After finishing my bovril I turned in last night looking forward to a good nights sleep, it had been a hard day. I then had the most amazing dream!!!!

 

I was walking to the ground after my normal pre-match pint or two. I got to the ground and before I knew it I was whisked into the changing rooms by Jonah! On the way there he explained that they needed me out there on the pitch against Darlington! Well, who was I to say no!!! I quickly undressed and the feeling when I slipped the first team jersey on was unreal!

 

We marched onto the pitch with a real belief that we were going to do the business. It was a bright sunny day but icy cold and a really harsh wind! I started up front with Taffy and we got of to a great start! As I recall big Vinny was just behind us front two and he slipped a ball through to Taff who squared it to me for the simplest of tap-ins!

 

I celebrated like never before, I ran up the touch line and done high-fives to all the crowd who chanted my name, such a wondeful feeling!!

 

The rest of the game was a little hazy. I do recall going to the Bar afterwards and the players held aloft their shoulders and we all chanted the song that I posted on here yesterday!!!

 

Unfortunately the dream came to an abrupt halt after that but I do seem to recall one of the delightful Urchinettes asking for my number!!

 

What a dream!
