Which player no longer travels?

Great win today. Followed the goals on twitter. Guernsey have a great attitude and even when they went behind in extra time, you would still bet on them winning.

Good luck in the next round

I meant travelling as in off round the world. Ben Coulter, hell of a midfielder.

Dont forget the Northeners have nothing else to do up there while plotting their way to Wembley. a lot of them dont have the balls to go to step 4 either :)

Football is only 4th in the sport popularity stakes up north you know!

Pigeon racing, ferretting and flat cap throwing are the things to follow

Where is "Lazing around doing nothing" ?

Would have had that in the top 3 :)

Well done to Guernsey for getting into the next round of the Vase,Ive seen you play and your more than good enough to go all the way in this competition, your still in the league cup, and your miles behind in league fixtures,so could someone from Guernsey tell me how are you going to fit it all in before the end of the season?(POSSIBLE 35 GAMES IN 3 MONTHS)you shouldnt be punished for having a quality side, and with all that money flying around the place, has anyone thought of spending some of it on a G3 pitch ?

Dessie, I suggest that you read the short thread entitled

From the Rye forum: Nice to hear these kind words:

"it was a superb effort from both teams , the travelling supporters were brilliant nice to see a side spend some money behind the bar ,but yes the lads at rye have done us proud for another vase run , maybe we can win the league this season well done lads"

Another great game but I wish we would tighten up at the back, especially from set pieces! But all in all great attitude and whenever we go behind in any game, no matter how late in the game, I always fancy us to pick something up.

Nice shot of me scoffing a hot dog on GFC TV when Dom scores that header! My green converses are covered in mud! They might not make an appearance at Epsom & Ewell on Tueday. Great shot of Fal as well when Dom made it 4-4!

A few people seemed to be complaining about the stoppage time at the end of the first half of extra time, which was when Dom made it 4-4 (two great finishes from him), but I think it was probably legitimate. The clash between their keeper and Matt Loaring (a painful one it looked!) was a lengthy stoppage and it can't have been the only time (don't forget the amount of time Rye spent celebrating their 4th and 5th goals). Loaring is getting closer to scoring as well, I hope he gets another one soon. He was unlucky a couple of times.

Great day out and Rye were brilliant hosts. Friendly lot and all the best to them

Good for Nigel Hutton to make a big contribution and get more minutes on the pitch. Hope he gets 90 mins on Tuesday.

Still not favourites for the Vase but Whitley Bay going out is a big plus. However if we face better sides with our defence as leaky as that then we might not be able to keep coming back the way we have done. Think lessons need to be learned from that.

Their coaching staff were an embarrassment to Rye United. The FA's respect campaign is an utter joke.

Too true HKP - and the match officials allowed it! but everybody else was superb, very friendly, helpful and they worked so hard to get the game on - they should all be congratulated for that! And what a bloney good game, and a great day to be a Green Lion :)

Totally agree, the officals must be deaf not to have heard the abuse aimed at them. Its also clearly audible on the GFCTV highlights.
