My report from the Bedfont Sports v Epsom & Ewell game is here for those who are interested:

http://www.pitchero....ewe-841823.html

Anyone who has seen the player celebrations after the free kick might not fully understand the reasons behind them. This is made clearer in my report.

For what its worth, it was one of those games that teams at the top tend to pinch. We've seen them go against us so many times when we've been lower down the table. I thought we really ran the show in the last twenty minutes though and that for me was the difference between the two sides.

The free kick was quality though. Alex McGregor, not Dale Marvell by the way. TRS, nice work and thank you for getting the free kick in all its glory.

Newby. Red mist to go with the red shirt. I thought you were fortunate to get away with just a yellow for the stamp myself, but if you were trying to break it up in the scuffle just moments later, why did you swing a punch? I had a great view of it from behind the goal. I wish the ref hadn't seen it though, as you will now miss three games, some of which will be against teams around us, no doubt.

Guernsey are the visitors to High Road tomorrow night in the League Cup. That really should be a good match. Big programme on sale too, why not come on down and introduce yourselves, I'll be behind the goal with my cap on.

you didnt see correct then as my back was to the goal i pulled our rm away after two of yours grabbed him one was a sub an clearly elbowed him not jarman who then pulled away i went to grab granted it may of looked like a punch but it wasnt i can assure you an hyes i shouldve been sent before my frustration got the better of me in a game i believe we shouldve won in the 70 minutes an yes i agree after that there was only gona be one winner! touche as we beat you away good luck for the rest of the season!

marvell is by far the best player ive seen at this level so far an has stood out head an shoulders above any others how hes not higher is a travesty quality player

Lighten up a bit, it was a comedy moment! Strong language I agree, but you hear similar all the time at this level. I didn't get the impression anyone was offended at the time.

i think the people with common sense see its frustration an pure comedy after the shank of the season!! ;)

Funny yes, but not a good advert for the game. If you want to attract bigger crowds they things like this is hardly likely to attract people, especially families.

we have numerous teams around

not one of any of the people there complained about it , it was frustration an all could see that swearing happens at every ground get out of your bubble mate it happens

He has played at least one level higher (in the Ryman 1 South) and maybe more than that, not sure. ISTR it took a lot of persusaion for him to leave E&E at the time. He was class at that level too. He clearly has a lot of fondness for E&E as he went back there after the spell at Egham.

Dale has played for Sutton and Carshalton Athletic in the past after joining us originally in 2000 from Kingstonian Youth, I think I recall. Also Merstham, as bomaya is referring to.

He does seem to like coming back and has now played 277 games for us, putting him in the top 15. The strange thing is that he has been with us under many different Managers too.

newby it's not me you have to convince, it's the appeal board if you feel that strongly.

TRS, sorry, I'll add your link too. Were there two people recording the game then?

i briefly spoke to the referee an he had positive comments after so we'll see , i wear my heart on my sleeve somtimes that does go against me but i understand your views!!

played against him three times now an hes a clever footballer hugs the touchline rarely tries anything spectacular but never gives the ball away i dont feel i play badly against him its his positioning is just on the money as i said i rate him highly!!

Not a problem Fred! I think the other lads were between the dugouts on the other side. Didn't see them at the game though.

I can remember watching Marvell in a decent Carshalton side that got to Conf South I think, prob 8 or 9 years ago.

To be honest supporters of clubs swear at players all the time.

The supporter had a pop at the Bedfont Sports player and the Bedfont Sports player had a pop back no big deal.

Really. I would tend to disagree with that. I honestly cannot remember the last time I heard a fan swear at a player at a CCL game or the other way either.

I must say i have heard it plenty of times over the years.

Maybe a few years ago but I cant remember the last time I heard it either way. Sure it does happen but I think it is rare.

I had a bit of a battle with the RPV right back on Sat but it was pretty good natured and no swearing involved.

Thanks for the Education lesson. :)

I of course understand it was out of frustration, but don't all clubs sign up to the FA's respect campaign? All I was saying is its not something to condone or should probably be accepted by the club?

As for a bubble, could do with a big one over Footes Lane!

Blimey Kroons, do you wear ear protectors? ;)

I quite often hear exchanges, occasionally with the C word included!

I must do TRS. Maybe after years of having words shouted at me that I manage to blank them out.
