with the wet and then snowy weather of this stop start season would it not sensible next season to have county cup &league cup ties played on a thursday then this would leave tuesday nights free to get the league games played rather than having the situation where we now have no game this tuesday due to the above . yes there are spare dates earlier in the season but i think this is due to possible fa cup replays which financially keeps clubs alive .the county &league cups are not great money spinners & managers tend to change there players for these games so even if you go far in these competitions it would,nt have an adverse affect on the 1st teams
