What a fantastic game , after the first 45 were out of the way .

Thank goodness we took the lead with the last kick , any other time and they would have equalised again .

The surreal atmosphere on The Halfway Line reached the old Merthyr standards , albeit I didnt realise Mystic Sal runs a skip hire company.

Is it now time for Jukebox to start a game , it all came alive when he entered the fray ?

I agree in that Drury gave the team a huge lift, by running at Exeter, something nobody else had done all game. What did Drury do with his first touches after coming on? Beat the full back and shoot at goal, to create a goal for Abbey. If you run at defenders and beat them, you will create goals and win free kicks and penalties. It's quite simple, and we didn't see any of it first half.

Quite right FF, it is frustrating to watch when the lads don't do this more often and more so when someone does take on the defenders but appear afraid to have a go at goal. I would like to see the front guys be a bit more selfish and go direct for goal especially Pinno.

 

Great result Tues night but the 1st half was poor considering it was a Cup game and so valuable for us to win. Let's hope the lads give us a good game Saturday and an equally valuable 3 pts.
