Wellsie
Just a note to put to bed some incorrect assumptions (featured on this forum sonewhere and the Facebook page I'm now banned from) about our Caretaker Manager. I can confirm that Craig did not seek a move away from the club as a result of CK leaving. I can also confirm that he approached the directors about taking on the role of managing the team during the process to appoint a permanent manager, and they gave him the role on merit and not as an incentive to stay. Any suggestion to the contrary is frankly nonsense. Since his appointment Craig has put a lot of work into getting his coaching team sorted, consulting with people at the club around the signing of 2 players, spending time talking to me about his role etc for the website as well as talking to a number of press / media people. I know the rumours weren't shared widely but nevertheless it seems only right that they be countered.
Cookie
Well I for one never even had that cross my mind. In Craigs warm-ups and in his play during 90 minutes he has always looked the professional and I'm sure in his new role he will be just as professional. If he continues to be faultless and in good form whilst in charge then all the better. I have no doubt he will prove to be a good manager in the same professional way that he takes his goalkeeping duties on & so consistently too. He may have been thrown in at the deep end here but I am positive he won't let people down in either role even though he is taking on a position he wishes for in the future, earlier than expected.. There may be 40 other applicants for the job but I'm sure that Craig will make things really hard both for the board to replace hm and for those other 40 to acquire a permanent position with the club. As I say only time and results will show us but this temporary appointment seems a very very good move i.m.o..
Cookie
By the way the local Gazette had a full three page spread on this with comments from Neville Southall and other managers about MFC s managers position. Good reading that. If anyone didnt get a copy I strongly advise that they do. Well worth the now new 70ps worth this week.

Coffin Ender
Haven't seen it but three pages does sound a bit much, it's not the moon landings after all. There are dozens of other sports clubs and organisations in Thanet.
