Management Changes at Athletic (posted Mon 21st Jan 2013)

Tony Armitage has decided to step down from his role as Coach and Assistant to First Team Manager Julian Robinson and the Club would wish to thank Tony for his hard work and commitment to his role at the Club since he joined in the summer of 2011. The Club is however pleased to announce that Ian Richardson has stepped up from the Reserves to assist Julian with the running the First Team. Ian is a former professional footballer with experience in running and coaching sides and our young side will benefit from this addition.

The Reserves will continue to be run by Colin Phillips with Stuart Stedman undertaking his player/coach role and Dave Whicker, who has been out injured since early this season, has been helping out and keeping involved with the Club.

There is a however an opportunity for someone, ideally with goalkeeping coaching skills, to assist the First and Reserve teams at training and Reserves on a match day. Interested parties should send their details via email to the First Team Manager, Julian Robinson, at tringathleticfc@hotmail.com.

I see you're knowledge and comments are as accurate as ever.

Yes but a 2-2 draw at bottom of the table London Tigers is a very poor result isn't it, it may as well have been a defeat

When we played Tring, based on their league position, I was surprised at how predictable they were. They never really threatened majorly, few chances here and there as with any game. Maybe they struggle against lower teams?

Knew you'd say that poor predictable Rhodes. Tell me since when is a draw ever been a defeat?

That game should like more of a loss for London Tigers seeing as they were 2-1 up

There's nobody to motivate the team anymore from the sidelines like Tony Armitage used to do

Cliff, if you was a proper mate of Tony, you would stop propping up his name for other people to have pop at him. Most people don't him but because you associate yourself with him, they see him as fair game which is totally unfair.
