Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster has been placed on gardening leave following five straight defeats for the Blue Square Bet South club.Nicky-Forster22-150x150.jpg

Forster’s future with the Whites is now in doubt with an emergency board meeting taking place on Friday afternoon.

The former Gillingham and Brentford striker’s future was cast in doubt after Dover lost 1-0 at Dorchester Town on Tuesday night with a 5-2 loss at Farnborough at the weekend.

Forster, should he leave, will leave Dover third in the Blue Square Bet South league and having won their previous six games prior to the recent poor run of form.

The Dover Athletic board are expected to make an announcement about Forster’s future at 2pm on Saturday afternoon with a new manager expected to be unveiled then with Margate manager Chris Kinnear tipped to replace Forster.

Meanwhile, Dover’s game with Bromley scheduled for this weekend was called off with snow and frost on the pitch at Crabble.

Worried it might be true, the kos report says that chris said no comment. Normally he laughs if off and says he is always linked to managers jobs

Dover forum is buzzing about him

Feel for the board if he does go as in the paper today cliff said whatever could had gone wrong this season has

As if Dover and JP needed to give me any reason to hate them even more.

If true I will be surprised and disappointed as I always saw CK as a man who wants to finish the job he started. He had chances to move to bigger clubs when with us first time round but always stayed. Also, not many managers have returned to 2 different clubs they had been sacked from.

Couldn't come at a worse time as anyone filling a caretaker role while the club found a new manager would struggle to keep the momentum going.

Fingers crossed it is all nonsense but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Hes not bigger than the Margate perhaps the dip in form is down to the two timing.A shame done a good job and a good manager but would explain the dip in form. Two games called off that would have been losses recently which would have put Margate out the picture and Chris not so great. We can no push on and win those games and make the playoffs.Get the gates up for the playoffs Win or lose get the town behind us revenue for the club.We will get a 1000.Meanwhile poor old Chris will be struggling to turn Dover round ,will be to much for him.Hopefully its all untrue and Chris will stay.

If true-and i suspect it is-as worrying is the reality that JL will probably go with him.

the surprise is surely that anyone could be surprised, albeit the timing is maybe a couple of games earlier than i expected.

You would like to think the MFC board also saw this coming-albeit probably powerless to do much about it anyway.still-may yet not be true-live in hope

Pity overall-as i was looking forward to a real promotion push and a 42 game unbeaten run next season.

if it happens-can't expect a new manager to take us up in his /her first season,so we stall again-and now look forward to promotion in the 2014/15 season.

never mind

Don't think the board could do much or expected it Michael to be honest if Dover only sacked their boss today?

Maybe-although some may suggest that you keep a close eye on whats going on aroundyou and do what you can to cover all bases.that given-i suspect that the MFC board were well aware this could happen-did'nt exactly require a genius to work it out-but concur that probably not much they could do anyway.

has'nt happened yet anyway-so whats the point of worrying about something we can't control .

what will be will be.
