Eastside Urchin
Bloody ridiculous. I am in Norfolk and on Tuesday it was carnage, took me 8 hours to get up and I probably shouldn't of made the journey. And by the time I did get up,heavier snow was falling. The Town Crier
Unfortunatly Alex is still a week or so away from fitness, so he is not included in the squad for saturday
GazzaBTFC
Realistically though... They can cover the pitch with whatever they like but is travel is difficult, the chances of going are limited.
Ryan.c
From OS: There is a 9.30am pitch inspection ahead of the Blues visit to Havant & Waterlooville in the Conference South on Saturday. Havant's pitch is currently covered and they have appealed for their supporters to assist with preparations. Umbrella Man
I wouldn't be too pleased either if i had got up early doors in the cold to get that response. Top effort to the people who made the effort down in Havant. Another midweek nightmare awaits
The Town Crier
IF that is correct, "the Roads and Car Parks"? wtf.... I bet the local Tesco's, Sainsburys, BQ etc are all open
GazzaBTFC
The roads and Sainsbury's car park at Basildon were a clear as a whistle... Surprised me and we were making plans to text our crew for a off on the road trip... But I am not really surprised it is off. This type of weather it is hard to call what it will do, despite the BBC and the Met offices collision to scare the population into panic over the weather (stay tuned for another round of climate change lies from both organisations). If the snow we have had so far is considered heavy then 1963 and the stuff we had over the last two years must be considered Biblical!!!
Brightside Bloke
Urghhh, She's got me painting doors. That'll be the price i have to pay for Truro out of the way i suppose. 1963, Apparently one of the finer years.

blue pilgrim
IF that is correct, "the Roads and Car Parks"? wtf.... I bet the local Tesco's, Sainsburys, BQ etc are all open Blimey - I'm off to Chelsea/Arsenal tomorrow but on that judgement, should it go ahead? Do the FA really appreciate the realities of life at non league level? Went into the Co-op this morning and bread was being rationed - I kid you not - We really are becoming a Country of wimps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Half an inch of snow and it's chaos !!!! Eastside Urchin
Usually I agree but the roads aren't too clever.Usually when we have snow,on the odd occasion, the temperature does remain above freezing but this time the temperatures are falling way below zero even in the day time. Premier league clubs can call on a mountain of staff to help around the ground,I would of thought Chelsea tomorrow that the temperature in west london would be 2-3c above more rural towns like Ricay,Chelmsford even Upminster. Fans like to travel but let's face it,we don't know how to deal with ice and snow here,so as many cars off the road as possible cant be a bad thing
