Our Price and Virgin have disappeared from the High Street, and it looks as if HMV may follow them.

Most, if not all of us, have bought at least one CD from these shops - so what is the first Vinyl or CD Record you bought from these shops?

For me, it was Queen's Greatest Hits II CD in 1991 (I was given the money to buy it by my Grandfather). A great CD which I still have to this day and I must have played it well over 1000 times!

So what is the first record you bought?

Digital music is great, you can have it in minutes, you can carry 2,000+ songs around in your pocket, make your own playlists. Plug it into your car or dock it in someone else's house, take it to parties.

But you can't nick your brother's Led Zep albums any more and when you die you can't leave your digital music collection to anyone, the ownership dies with you.
