The Mayor Of Simpleton
I played against Walsall Wood once many years ago. As a team, they were poor on the day, but their ground is one of the best in the West Midlands. One of their stands dates from the 1930s and there's also a memorial to the mining community in situ as well. Nowadays, they seem to be a side on the up. 4th in the Midland Combination after three to four seasons of finishing bottom or near bottom, and with nine games in hand on top side Bromsgrove Sporting. They average over two points a game (15 played, 36 points) so will be very tough to beat.
